Get a really good deal and buy two jackets is my advice...

Seriously, you will never find a jacket that's going to cover all of the conditions listed well. If you have $500 to spend, get two jackets and be happy.

I ditched all my Astar gear when I outgrew it in favor of Fieldsheer. I have a full suit and a longer riding jacket that has been awesome. The sizing is accurate and they all broke in very nicely. I forget the jacket model but the suit is a Revo. A little less money than the Astars and the stitching is better IMO...
