I referenced my diary for the locations we stopped and the weather we ran into. Grand Forks, ND lies almost half-way between Duluth, MN and Minot, ND, so we certainly stopped there for a meal and gas, but didn't spend the night. According to my diary it took more than 10 hours of hard riding for this leg, including rest stops and fill ups, in which we logged over 500 miles for the day.
