That is sad. That is one reason that I guess I am a little more reserved when it comes to riding. I have two daughters and a very good and loving wife that I want to come home to each and ever day. Seeing something like this makes me wonder why it is that I even want to keep a bike.......

I totaly agree that it could happen in a car, truck, bus, on a skateboard or whatever. The fact is, we are at more of a risk (IMHO) out there on the street than most anything else on a daily basis. The way we ride can also dictate the expectancy of our life/lifestyle.

That definitely sucks but better that it happened when it did instead of after he picked up his girl/wife like he said he was going to do...it could have been both of them.
Being inexperienced he shouldn't have even thought about taking a passenger. Man that sucks...hope he can recover. |
