To be honest, I rode so many awesome roads during this time, that they all "blend" together: I had a couple of weeks off and just headed south to the alps and road as many German, Austrian, Italian, Slovenian and Croatian passes I could find on the map. I ended up spending a few days in Croatia on the beach and made my way back "sideways" through the Alps. Since I rode mostly by myself I did not take many breaks and just rode.... picked another pass, rode, camped, rode.... and rode.... good times

That would be an amazing trip. I've done it twice in the Blue Ridge and Great Smokey Mountains and had an amazing time... just thinking of doing it in the Alps makes my hair stand on end.

I guess I can consider myself lucky (or spoiled), after riding for many years in Southern Germany and surrounding areas, I lived/rode in Oregon and now in WNC.

The only really bad riding area I lived in was in Florida for 3 month

... sorry folks - but it major league sucked. `
