that static thing is pretty cool ebbs...

but if you don't mind adhesive, you can always get a $30 clear stomp grip which not only protects your tank, but also functions as a grip. it really comes in handy for me.

That's what I use now, stomp grip. Here's mine:

I'm going on my third season with it on there, and it shows no signs of peeling or yellowing. It's a little discolored where my knees rub, but that's probably just material from my pants.

nice bike! the good thing about that is if it does eventually peel, all you have to do is heat it with a heat gun or blow dryer, peel, and wd-40 that shit and your'e good.

Stomp grip is a personal preferance tho and isnt just a tank protector.

I cant stand stomp grip, as I find it uncomfortable and irritating, restricting my movements, whereas others swear by it and its ability to make them stick.

what tig posted is also avaiable from tankslapper... they sell both the static as well as the adheasive.

I liked the static as it was easier to fix a fuckup

True,I've always hated static or magnetic tank pads because they move around but it's got to be nice to be able to take it off to clean the bike.

clean your tank very well before applying the static tankslapper it and it won't move around on you.
