I totally know what you mean. I never go to any of the group get togethers...I tried it a couple of times and it just wasn't for me.

Now when some of the modded Vette guys get together for a "run"...I'll join in but since I got back into sportbikes in 07 I haven't even been doing that very often. When I say "modded" I don't mean fancier floormats either.

I didn't ride for a few years since being run over by a cager and having several surgeries but once I got back on a sportbike I caught the fever again.

"nhgunnut" who is a member here got me back into riding. My wife worked with his wife and we went to visit. He tossed me the keys to his Ducati 999R and then his TurboBusa and when we came home the wife and I went out and bought two bikes and it's been a blast ever since.

My Corvette came from the factory with 3 catalytic converters on it along with the muffflers. I cut the mufflers off and put on some nice tips, and it sounds like a proper 350 now. The mufflers are on that car for sound. The catalytic converters take care of the emissions business, so I wasn't too worried about cutting them off.

You can always try that. It is louder inside now, but I have a good stereo, so I just turn it up.

I tend to slash the tires of anyone on a bike nicer than mine. My blade is getting a little dull.

I've had people want to ride or exhange numbers. Sorry fucker but we're not friends for a reason. I'm a soloist anyways. Nothing beats a nice trip to the gap or to the middle of nowhere Georgia by yourself.
