My first love [of the moto kind] was a Yamaha DT-60 mini enduro.

I was 11.

I never had any interest in bikes until one day I came home for a visit and my mom says with a childish grin, "have you looked in the garage?"

Before that day I never knew, or cared, what a naked bike was. Didn't know anything about bikes, but all I knew was that my mid 50s dad just bought a red sportbike.

And I knew I had to have one.

It was an 04 Kawi Z1000

I only got to ride it one night and that was at the drag strip when it was slammed and stretched.

I still wish I would've had the money to buy it from him when he sold it.

Still the sexiest bike ever.

I was around bikes with my old man my whole life, but I truly fell in love with them when he brought home his '87 V-Max. That was the day I turned to the darkside and I knew I was never coming back.

From my early years the one that first mad my have to have list H2 750 never mind that it had a flexi-frame and merely a suggestion of brakes.
After re-entering riding a a Ducati 999
Having purchased and ridden both they never lived up to my fantasy but god in the saddle of either you know you were ALIVE
