Sweet pic.

HA! Tell me about it! I once passed a 1098 while on VIR North twice.... in ONE lap.... on the same STRAIGHTAWAY.... WHILE ON AN EX500!!! I passed him once as we were exiting turn 17a onto the front stretch and again under the brakes for turn 1.

He was absolutely tip toeing that thing.... I wonder if it was even his bike.

Thanks! I love Barber, and the 'tard, it was a fun day. I entered it in the POTM contest back then but it didn't win. I lost to Azoom's shot of her and the hubby. I hate to admit it, but I was sandbagging like a mofo, my buddy was picking up a new (to him) tard from a friend and neither of them had ridden Barber so they wanted to run in Novice. The three of us were the ONLY tards there so I wanted to run together. It was a blast, really fun weekend.

Better than the guy who binned a borrowed Desmosedici at JGP, barely.

Yeah, I saw this guy and thought DAMN! He almost had more money in gear then I had in my entire bike! I was expecting someone who would buy that bike and take it to a track to be fast, wrong! It was a general day for douchebaggery on ducati's, there was a guy trying to bump start a 999R, I waited a few minutes, laughing, before I decided I should tell him about a slipper clutch and the wonderful effects thereof. Then he asked me if I knew where the battery was on HIS bike so we could jump it!

There was another Desmo at JGP last weekend. This guy ran in the advanced group and didn't crash, though. My first impression: holy crap, it's loud. I really didn't care for the sound at all. It was really harsh and raspy. Not what I expect from a Ducati at all.

Sounds like it sucks children through the intake. I'm a fan of any bike that scares people when it goes by.
