Rossi has always talked about his goal to ride for every mfr. This isn't surprising

Rossi has said recently that the car thing is out for a while. He is still focused on two wheels, and I think he would love to retire on an Italian bike. That is a big part of the draw to ride the Duc

There are "records" that he has that will never be reached.

But, he doesn't have all of them, and there will definitely be somebody to come along to challenge his legacy, but the longer he's winning, the longer it will be till that happens.

Rossi will never surpass Ago unless he wins at Isle of Man.

That's also true because they don't run the IOM as part of a GP race circuit any more.

Even Rossi himself after taking a demo ride around the IOM said that he couldn't figure out how these guys would haul ass on that course citing the dangers involved.

I disagree. Because the circuit is not run by GP anymore, it's only run by racers that eat, breathe, and sleep IOM.

In the days it was a GP circuit, it was one of many courses on the schedule. To the people racing it now, it's the only course. I'd be willing to bet they get around it better than any GP rider that toyed with the course for a few days per year.

I would also bet that those IOM racers would not be anywhere as good as Rossi on a MotoGP track. But Rossi is still not as good, because he never raced IOM.
