In stock trim perhaps, on an open long track probably, as the single would lose out in top speed. However on shorter courses with alot of excess weight removed I think it would be a winner.

I still think that they should have "one upped" Kawasaki and brought a 400/450 to the table... |

My clubs tracks have 3 tight 1.9 or 1.8 mile tracks. I think the shorter wheelbase, steeper rake, and possible weight advantage would give the CBR an edge.
I was already deep into the Formula 450 GP Singles research. The 450 single engine would be quite a stomper, but converting a motocrosser is big bucks. Hoping up this lil 250 would be cheaper. as far as Honda is concerned I dont think they want to outrace or outsell the baby ninja. I think this is a place to make back all their single cyl Moto3 R&D...

Not mine, but I had one exactly like it for a bit. Honda RS125 chassis with a CRF450 engine. Actually bought it for my kid, but decided the SV would get him more track time.

Thats what I want. I raced SVs and 600s but really want something super light. My best friends TZ250 spoiled me forever to light makes right...
