personally i like the bowl system, it makes the smaller schools that goto the smaller bowls have a shot, like middle tn and the bowl game we won, it was great around this campus

I think those are the schoosl that would get hurt more. They get some much needed cash fo rgoing to a bowl game and it helps in recruiting. If they do an 8 or 16 team playoff that will prety much eliminate all the bowl games and hurt the smaller schools or programs that are trying to build them selves up.

I dont think there will ever be a playoff because of all the money these bowl games generate. All the bcs bowl bound schools get a shitload of money even if they arent playing for the title so why give that up.
then this year schools like cincinati, tcu and boise go to major bowls and got a ridiculous payday so it give the other lesser programs more incentive to try to get into the bcs games. |

I don't see why a playoff system would eliminate the other bowls. Sure, the other bowls would be meaningless compared to the playoffs, but they are meaningless now compared to the national championship.
