well that looks like more bullshit than I would be willing to put up with considering how much a wheel like that must cost. I'm guessing that it is some kind of super exotic material like rhodium, ruthenium, osmium, or something like carbon fiber

Whitham said its most likely fatigue due to overuse as small teams like supersonic can't afford to change out their wheels on a regular basis

dont think these guys are too concerned about cost. I am wondering why the wheel failed like that, was it an older wheel, had it been crashed previously or something else.
