Default Sputters when cold?

Hey guys, this may not be the best place to put this thread but anyways. I'm going to look at an '04 R6 today and the guy told me it sputters when it is started cold. He only wants $3900 for it and I'm really tempted to snatch it up but I don't want to get it and there be something really wrong that will cost me in the long run. The guy says its never been down so I'm thinking it may be the fuel injectors or spark plugs or something of the sort but then again I'm no expert. Thought I'd see what you guys think. Thanks.

Start with the easy stuff. Drain tank and refill with fresh gas. Run some seafoam trough the FI and put some fresh plugs in it.

Not sure but I'm thinking no. Chances are good I won't get it unless it just looks like its in really good shape. I really dont want to get into something I can't fix for cheap. For that price I may just go for one of the newer 250's from the stealership Thanks guys.

If he'll let you take it for a test ride do it. If it's warm and runs fine I'm sure it's an easy/cheap fix.

I am debating test riding it or not. Never ridden a 600 but plenty of 250's and itd be my luck I'd lay it over.

I may test ride it then if he will let me and if it runs good I may go ahead and get it. Really wanting to find a Gixxer or CBR but all are out of my price range >.<

Yeah just keep the rpm low and you'll be ok.

Bike had been tracked and looked to be falling apart. So needless to say I didn't buy it. Going for a 250
