Holy crap!! I'm sorry I missed this - I hope Mom heals quickly and completely!

My mother shouldn't even be driving a car, let alone anything on two wheels...

Mine neither. But, tell her that and it goes in one ear and out the other. I think this wreck was a real wake-up call for her.

I'm glad she's ok enough for you to be pissed at especially with no gear.

Me too. The last time I saw her (Sunday), she broke down crying on me. It breaks my heart, but I'm very thankful. 30MPH without a helmet on could have easily killed her, if her head hit the road with any kind of force. She does have a couple scratches on her face, but she got away without even a concussion.

She has zero upper body strength, and is using a walker to get around. Her whole body is sore, because she's essentially walking around on her arms now. I work out all the time, so it's no big thing for me to use crutches. She's using a walker. The knee that didn't get injured was bad to begin with (I inherited knee problems from her as well, I can't run regularly, and I have to do squats with knee wraps). Now she's hopping around on it, because her arms aren't strong enough to lift herself off the ground.
