Handle every stressful situation like a DOG: If you can't eat it or hump it, pi$$ on it & walk away.

If ya'll deer hunt I'll go ahead and tell you how we gut one.

Thumbs down: Cutting out piece by piece. There is no need for this unless you like doing things the long way.

Thumbs up: Depending on if you're mounting the head, start at the throat as high as you want. Cut down all the way to the butthole. Use a hatchet or Rambo knife and break the pelvic in half and rig cage. Now just start on either side and just cut the organs away from the rib cage/skin/spine/etc. Do not cut any organs off. Once every thing seems to be loose, cut the throat. Grab onto it tight and yank. Everything should just come out like a zipper. Now just cut the colon and you should just be left with a blood bowl carcass. Now let the wild life enjoy a free meal if you don't want anything off the organ zipper.

That's how daddy taught me Ranger.

That last deer was running and I waited till he turned away, 160 some odd paces and my .308 Hornady went in the right hip/ham, deflected off 3 ribs and exited left shoulder. Total waste of meat. I went out and bought a bow...

My dad shot a turkey head on and blow everything out. The fastest cleaned wild turkey I've ever seen. LOL
