I have a Suomy Vandal and I LOVE IT!!! It is light, not a ton of wind noise. Plus the graphics are top notch!

Suomy's Rock. Have a Spec1R Extreme. Light, comfortable, great ventilation but a little noisy. Graphics are great. Get compliments on my helmet all the time.

According to Suomy's rep - the Spec 1R and Vandal have the same shell. I choose to wear the Vandal because the shield is changed easier [dzus style quarter turn releases] and better venting. By far, the BEST helmet I have ever worn in the rain - the visor will NOT fog.

I have both the Pin-up and Italia Mat in the Vandal and the Hodgson Laguna in the Spec 1R.

I have a Vandal - Bayliss Replica.

I preferred the Suomy over others because it fit me the best. All other XS's were too big for me. Even now that I've had mine for a couple years it is starting to be a little too loose.

The rep can say what he wants but I wear two different sizes in Suomy.

I think he'll love it. You can see it in these pic:
