I don't support the idea, but the principal is probably right. Students can improve their score on 2 tests, but their overall class grade could be minimally impacted. It all depends how many tests there are and what their weighting is against mid-terms and final exams.

So for maybe $100.00 a clueless student who should be held back for a year can advance to the next grade?

The way the article reads, I think it's a $20 cap.

Who gives a flying fuck? They're not teaching anything useful or relevant anyway so their grades are a very moot point. Especially considering they won't fail you anyway...
