HAHA I was just busting balls and messing around about the bike not being a GIXXER. All I'm saying is, if your looking to improve and ride the bike the way its meant to be ridden (wait, it's a buell...Nevermind..........HAHA J/K again!) there's no better place than a track.

Speaking of motorcycle gangs.

I encountered crazy traffic on my way to work this morning, come to find out it was because of a shooting. They think it "might" be gang related.

GLENDALE - A motorcyclist was shot and killed on a freeway connector road in Glendale today, resulting in freeway closures coinciding with the morning commute, authorities said.

The man was shot around 2 a.m. while riding his motorcycle on the connector road linking the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway to the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway, said Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department.

Firefighters along with California Highway Patrol officers at the scene discovered the motorcycle in the bushes alongside the connector road and its deceased rider nearby, an On Scene Video camera crew reported.

Also at the scene was a shirtless motorcyclist with a large tattoo on his back that said "Mongols" -- likely referring to the Mongols Motorcycle Club, a motorcycle gang founded in Montebello in the 1970s.

CHP Officer David Porter said the connector roads linking the 210 and 2 freeways would be shut down, along with the Foothill Boulevard onramp to the southbound 2, until at least 8 a.m.

Motorists traveling on the northbound 2 will be diverted off at the Mountain Street exit during the investigation, Porter said. CNS-10-08-2008 05:18
