In the heat and humidity here, I find I am able to wet an undershirt very effectively at stops or when unable to ride at sufficient speed.
No sink required.

Otb trick..... go get gnarley old sweatshirt...throw in sink full of warm water.....
..take out and lightly wring out (just so it isn't dripping, but you want it heavy.

Put on leather or mesh pants, t shirt, boots. Start bike, put on wet sweatshirt, and mesh or leather jacket over top.

Go riding...if leather jacket, unzip chest vents and stay cool 4-6 hrs depending on how fast you are going even in 100+days with high (today 89%) humidity.

At one point when I was on the freeway, I had to partially zip chest vents as I was chilly..........
If it's hot out, why dip the shirt in WARM water?

because putting it on after it's been in cold water will make your nips stand up.

I rode thought a tornadoe today, a 3 hour trip took 6 hours, including one 30 minute stretch where I shut the bike off and stood in the rain because the road crews had to clear a downed tree off the highway.

Yeah, those road crews in merry old land of Oz take forever... damn munchkin labor unions and their excessive breaks.

I, and I believe Gas and Caveman, were absolutely miserable riding Friday and Saturday because of the heat.
