Taking the plunge to synthetic
My car needs an oil change so I've decided to take the plunge to synthetic. I'm being told that it is better since my car is turbo-charged. I never thought I'd be doing this, but I am.
I suppose the only thing I'll notice is that I won't have to change it so often  and that when I do change it, I'll be forking over more money... not really a surprise with this car. :pwsign: |
What kind are you putting in it?
I put Mobil 1 in my truck (6 quarts) and I've found, as much as I hate to say it Wal-Mart is the cheapest around. |

I've been doing semi-synthetic for a while. I just couldn't justify the additional cost of full synthetic. However, the semi- is getting up there in price so I may just go full- as well.

I considered the blended stuff, but figure if I'm going to do this then why not all or nothing.

You should see what Gas can do. IIRC he deals with Amsoil. I wonder how the prices are for that.

IF you order a case or more at a time, price isn't bad. Like I told OSP, if you want just a gallon, better off paying retail in the store. |
