Warming her up. Please disregard the time. It's one hour ahead. Didn't bother to change last fall.

It felt great to be out when you haven't ridden since the week before that snow storm came. The wind was gusting like crazy, too. When I was heading up on I-270, The gust was so bad that when I was going straight, I was leaning to the left like I was leaning against a wall. Wind doesn't bother me, though. It just made the ride more interesting. Wonder what the windchill is doing 80mph at 12*F.

I was only able to do 114 miles because my wife and I had to be somewhere at 7:00pm. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

Only 114 miles, damn you

what are you wearing as far as gear to keep somewhat warm out there?

still some snow and ice on the gorund here so def not safe to be heading out.

It has better wind protection than my buell.

Gas Man 01-04-2010 07:04 AM

Do they use salt on the roads there?

Yes, they do. Just not that much on the road since we got all that rain a couple of weeks ago.

Oh, its rained before you rode. That is good. For me I won't ride if there is salt all over the rode. In the spring I usually wait till there has been a couple good rains to rinse the roads off.

Yea I made the mistake of riding as soon as the roads cleared before. What a fucking mess and all that salt on your bike can't be good!

I was hoping to see some pics with the new hoops on.

I'm still waiting for the snow to melt. Plus another storm and Arctic cold is coming in tomorrow. I haven't seen a Sunoco gas station since the early 70's. Used to get Sunoco 260 then, with an octane over 100 for $0.37/gal. Boy was that expensive compared to other premium.

Was going to put them on but the snow storm messed up everything. Will try sometime this month.

My car runs crappy on Sunoco around here. There's one right down the road from my house. I stopped going there. Consistently get worse mileage on Sunoco.
