Back to 2 wheels

just watched my jeep pull away, so im back to only owning 2 wheels again.... :wtfru:

I got the asking price in cash less then 3 days from when i posted the jeep on craigslist, not too shabby if you ask me

I am taking that and paying the buell off

Rant
why the fuck would hd financial services say I have shitty credit and say they could only loan 3,500 and my banker says my score is 730 and had no problem getting me a loan for 9k?:whosr: stupid fags gave me a interest rate of stupid proportions, but i wasnt too concerned since i knew i was going to pay it off fast and its was for a small amount and would help with my credit/Rant

looks like next week it will be new car time :boobs:

CrazyKell 03-18-2010 11:49 AM

Bikes are harder to get credit for because they're considered toys. :idk:

Congrats on selling the jeep and good luck with the new car.

dReWpY 03-18-2010 11:51 AM

im going to need it, I know that i am taking a risk by taking a race car and trying to daily drive it, but atleast my other vehicle is reliable, lol

Sixxxxer 03-18-2010 01:23 PM

Kawasaki had NO problem approving me for 10k and trying to Fuck me on the Interest, To bad I'll have the Bike paid off before they get me. :)

Good Luck Drewpy, What kinda Cage you looking at?

Those 2.5L are putting out about 217hp? I know the older(2001 ish)were.

psychochild28 03-18-2010 01:56 PM

Congrats on getting rid of the jeep and Good luck with the new car.

CrazyKell 03-18-2010 02:00 PM

A buddy at work has a blue WRX and he loves it. It's his summer daily driver.
Congrats!

smileyman 03-18-2010 02:20 PM

If it meant the difference of having a bike and high interest and not riding at all, I am paying the high interest. I figure finance companies know us that well.

Have fun with the 'ru. I hear they are a blast!

The estimated whp is 370 and crank is 440-450 ish, its the sti block with 20G turbo and supporting mods in a <3000# all wheel drive car

Oh it's got an STi motor? Then don't you want an STi hood with the larger hood scoop for the intercooler?

dReWpY 03-18-2010 02:46 PM

its actually a limiting factor for the line of site, and the intercooler in a perrin which is much larger then the stock subaru one and if im not mistaken flows better then the sti

Sixxxxer 03-18-2010 03:53 PM

Your worried about DD'ing that thing? I know plenty of guys who daily drive Heavily Modded Subaru's...Great cars as long as you take care of them...Have fun with it...I love the sound of a boxer motor at redline...Almost as much as I like 16,000 RPM's on my Bike.....Almost ;)

MikeSP1 03-18-2010 10:47 PM

Subaru's are good for daily driving, even in the 500ish HP range. But hey Drewpy, if you need any parts let ME know (JDM).

dReWpY 03-18-2010 11:13 PM

I might take you up on that

HD probably had too many people default on their loans, so unless your credit is pristine they screw you.

Love the new car! I'm a Subaru owner myself :D Hubby wanted a WRX, but knew he wouldn't behave with it so he got the Outback (non-turbo).

Enjoy!

dReWpY 03-20-2010 10:14 PM

I'm rocking a 730 which isn't hate full, my interest rate is 5.75%

Not saying yours isn't excellent, just not good enough for them.

dReWpY 03-20-2010 10:24 PM

I'm just wondering why harley gave me a bad score and a rate of like 19% and my car is only 5%

So they can make extra money off the 19% interest rate to help them financially.

dReWpY 03-20-2010 10:35 PM

I'm getting annsey, I had a camaro when I was in highschool and have driven some of my fam's other cars- gto, trans am and bonnie ssei and a few corvettes, but this is the only awd turbo in the household

psychochild28 03-21-2010 12:56 AM

when you heading off to get the new toy?

dReWpY 03-21-2010 01:15 AM

Not soon enough

psychochild28 03-21-2010 02:21 AM

Surprised you didn't say screw it and go this weekend since it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

Particle Man 03-21-2010 09:09 PM

glad to see you got the Subaru dude. remember what I said: take care of any scratches, dings, etc as soon as they happen. engine = bullet proof but rust spreads FAST (or it has on every Subaru in our family).

Switch 03-21-2010 09:16 PM

I know that car...

dReWpY 03-21-2010 09:40 PM

You gonna keep that bigass fart can?

Could be a blown head gasket, blown ringlan, hole in the piston, fragg'ed piston, valve shot, the list goes on and on

CrazyKell 04-11-2010 09:24 PM

That sucks Drewpy. That really sucks.

Front wheel drive + high hp = CV shaft spitting out of the transmission.

Just a guess though. I hope it's not that ugly.

Usually rex's are good for high power tho. I'm guessing he was playing and broke a control arm.

yup his scuby is 4wd, and I dont think Ive ever heard of a wrx loosing a front CV.

From the total lack of info and his rather BS answers I'd say he hit a curb and folded a wheel down

Subies have had a longitudinal engine layout since the dawn of fucking time. Even their fwd offerings are basically rwd with steerable wheels

That's exactly what I'm thinking, he slid the front into something and tucked a corner.

was going around a corner and hit a place where a farmer had pulled out of a field and slide in to a ditch... no buen

MikeSP1 03-31-2011 02:26 PM

that sucks dude

is it repairable?

dReWpY 03-31-2011 02:51 PM

Not even close

Homeslice 03-31-2011 02:52 PM

LOL, I folded 2 cars on curbs, both because of having too much fun with the e-brake

First was a VW.......easy to replace beam-axle from a junkyard

Second was an Integra......multi-link suspension, wasn't going to mess with....Totaled it, parted it out.

MikeSP1 03-31-2011 02:57 PM

Brats are cool, but most of them would probably be rusted to hell.

SVX are also cool, but I think that is a unique chassis, so parts & aftermarket are probably a struggle.

Personally I would put it in a 2.5RS. Love that body style.

dReWpY 03-31-2011 05:34 PM

i am keeping this off of facebook

my gf was in the car and while she is fine, she is pretty torn up about it, as in refuses to talk to me, a car is replaceable, she on the other hand is not

she was having fun up until the crash, so its a hard pill to swallow

Homeslice 03-31-2011 05:39 PM

Holy SHIT.......I thought you just bent a halfshaft or subframe at worst. Glad you're ok.

dReWpY 03-31-2011 05:43 PM

im fine, at as bad as this sounds, between the ZX, and the shear adrenaline rush of riding, i hoped out like, well that sucked, oh well, lets get a tow truck, she on the other hand was very shook en up and called for her roommate to get her ASAP.

which is odd because she is usually an adrenaline junkie, i think this is the first time a consequence has ever bitten back whenever an accident happens. I am taking it worse that she is upset then anything to do with the car

yup seatbelts save lives. Glad you walked away from that, the drivers side looks pretty banged up. How fast were you going?

Archren 03-31-2011 06:13 PM

Holy shit toast, batman... so glad you both are in one piece.

KSGregman 03-31-2011 06:17 PM

Damn, man....fortunate that you both walked away ok.

dReWpY 03-31-2011 06:17 PM

insurance appraiser comes tomorrow to take a look, i am going in at 8am to clean it out am take a vac to it, make it look as spotless as possible, i owe more then the KBB is on it because of all of the goodies it has on it, i know that the insurance agency knows my hobbies and when i had a quad stolen a few years ago they gave me retail for every part on the bike, i know that is not going to happen this time around, but atleast the big parts are enough to offset alot of the cost, i mean hell the turbo is a easy 2k, intercooler $500 retail ect. i plan on making a list tonight of everything with cost too

Homeslice 03-31-2011 06:56 PM

Did you give them a list of aftermarket parts when you first created the policy? Otherwise I doubt they'd cover it. I know I wouldn't if I was an agency.

dReWpY 03-31-2011 07:09 PM

they did not have a list, but they were aware of the fact that it was modified

dReWpY 03-31-2011 07:11 PM

im pretty sure the only reason they cover me for so cheap is because my old man and I are with the same company and he has 2 corvettes, a hummer, a buick and a home owner policy, we are 2 seperate policies, but i think sometimes they are lenient for me, well up until now

Homeslice 03-31-2011 07:12 PM

Well good luck, anything is possible with insurance if you haggle enough.

dReWpY 03-31-2011 07:14 PM

i was smart enough to add every possible option to my policy, a low deductable, rental coverage, all the umbrella add'ons, you never know when shit happens, and sometimes, shit happens... esp. when you own a sportscar

correction, shit happens when you drive curvy roads at the speedlimit at a apex when they are wet

dReWpY 03-31-2011 07:21 PM

this might sound bad, but it will be nice to get out from under this car, even if they only pay part of what its worth if it was stock, since i blew up the engine i put the money i was planning on putting down on the loan to fixing it (about 8k) and had to pay damn near $400 a month for insurance and car note combined

the chi 03-31-2011 08:24 PM

God damn Drewpy! Jesus man...and I'm the one who's sposed to be in a bubble?!?

Glad you're okay, glad the GF is mostly ok, tho you both might want to get checked, you might be sore. Good luck with her btw, I'm not certain why a car accident would make her stop talking to you, but chicks are crazy.

goof2 03-31-2011 08:29 PM

Damn, that looks like it was a little rough. Glad you both walked away.

dubbs 03-31-2011 08:30 PM

damn man.. good luck with everything.. Didn't think it would look THAT bad.. holy shit..

gotta love new cars in terms of safety.. hope it all works out for u man..

Particle Man 03-31-2011 08:35 PM

jesus fucking christ - changing your name to "Lucky" is very appropriate. I too was thinking like a wheel was effed up or something but that's just... wow

Glad you and your GF were able to walk away uninjured. Hopefully she was just shaken up and will get over it as soon as she's had the chance to process it fully.

dReWpY 04-01-2011 01:15 AM

so after all of it has settled, the gf is still refusing to talk to me, i am just giving her space and not trying to contact her...

its not helping im watching the new grays anatomy where the chick gets into a car accident... FML

I am fine, other then the guilt of having a passenger, esp. when it was someone i loved, she is fine other then shot nerves, but its the thought that it could of been worse, we really just slid along a fence that was like 7 feet from the road and never had a impact, just lateral friction as it slide along the vegation and debris, and earth

tommymac 04-01-2011 01:37 AM

Glad to see you guys are ok, looks a lot worse in those pics.

MikeSP1 04-01-2011 06:25 AM

Glad to hear that you're ok, have fun parting with insurance. And good luck with the gf.

dReWpY 04-02-2011 03:35 PM

i was offered 8,600 from the insurance company before they take a look at the modification list and the recipets i have, so here is to hoping they throw a little more in because of it, i sent them $7,780 from the engine swap and another $1,500 for the upgraded clutch, so who knows, i might be able to turn around and buy a decent jeep with the rest of it and be with out a car note, which would be really nice

When you've never been in a situation that puts your life or safety at risk (even the perception thereof which is what happened here, I think) it can be quite a shock!

the chi 04-04-2011 09:53 AM

I would think riding on the back of his bike would have already given her an idea of the kind of shock she's in for involving herself with him and motorized vehicles.
