Drove it today..pretty tight. Hard to find 2 door Caprices anymore.

$3,900? Someone would have to pay me to take a test drive in that.

Mikey 03-30-2010 06:51 AM

I think it would be a cool car to own, but not so cool to drive- they were never known for their top-notch suspension, engine performance, or brakes.

For the money, if I wanted a cool cruiser, I'd look for a mid-seventies Monte Carlo or the like, or any pre-FWD Cadillac or old Lincoln.

Still, looks like a really clean older piece of Detroit rolling iron.

wildchild 03-30-2010 08:13 AM

looks clean, but my personal preference would be more like above. Monte, Cutlas, Malibu or such.

Caprice is a big car, had a nice ride in it's day.

Rider 03-30-2010 09:03 AM

Not my style but it looks like a clean car. Why not a Chevelle, Malibu, Impala, Nova(Chevy II)?

Speedracer42 03-30-2010 09:57 AM

Thats alot of change for that car.

Dave 03-30-2010 10:25 AM

if i was gonna do a gbody it would be the pontiac grand prix. Best looking car of the lot, best interior layout. Cage it, throw it on fat rubber and drop in a decent mill with a six speed behind it and you'll have a sick ass dd

pauldun170 03-30-2010 11:06 AM

Only Caprice I'd consider would be the wagon.

KSGregman 03-30-2010 11:20 AM

Wow..... :lmao:

One of my good friends has a Buick t-type. Car is a blast to drive.

Homeslice 03-30-2010 12:16 PM

Looks tight, but isn't that a G body? If so, I'd rather have a Regal or Cutlass.

Chevy was the bottom of GM's lineup. Still is, lol.

Oh yeah.
Turbo Buicks all the way. :dthumb:

Around here that thing would be sitting on 24" rims before you could say "Chevrolet".

i love cars, but i just can't consider any domestic made between 1974 and 1994 to actually BE a car. They don't deserve the name.

Fun finding parts for it though.

There is plenty of parts support for everything from the T-Types to GNX's

What years? I like older Chevelles, but gas is 3 bucks a gallon here. The 305 V-8 with the 4speed auto will get 22mpg on the freeway.

Also looking into 84-87 Cutlass, 1981-1987 Pontiac GP and 1975-1978 Caddy Sevilles. The Caddy is sweet because it has electronic fuel injection.
