my friend dave had one and wound up selling it because it was too stiff on the street :?: hes a little flighty in some ways so its not a surprise, last year I wanted to do a session on it at the track but we wound up in different groups so I couldnt pull it off. :(

We could make an exception if you had a RC8 in your arsenal.

dReWpY 05-18-2010 04:42 PM

Jealous

Are you talking about the esses?

Tommy - make sure you let me know when you are in the area. I'm just over an hour from Mid Ohio, but it is nothing for me to drive down there to meet up with you.

no the esses are on the back of the circuit, after the second straight.

The chicane is right after the start, after a 90* left right after you go under the bridge. some people call it the keyhole when its open, but sometimes its closed.

Sounds good. We are planning on going away that week since I'm off work, but things may change since hubby isn't working yet. We will just play it by ear.

OK. You threw me off when you said back stretch. I call that the front straight since that is where they start. Yes, the keyhole is pretty sweet. My favorite is the carousel.

ahh well it all depends on who you talk to. I alwasy figure the long straight is the main straight, but usually people say the first straight is the one w/ the start point.

Either way, that chicane can completely change the first half of that lap.

if you guys are gonna be down there i'll stop by to say hi for sure.

tommymac 07-03-2010 05:51 AM

Ok as of now I think were leaving raly early on wed and should be out near the track around 3 ish if all goes well. We may head over to cleveland to check out the rock and roll hall of fame and do some touristy stuff.

After the track day we plan on dinner and many beers esp since were staying the extra night so if any of you guys can make it out LMK

racedoll 07-05-2010 10:19 PM
