Let's try this again...

2008 R1 (other was a 2007)
Full Graves with power commander (other was full Yosh with PC)
Black (other was blue, I prefer black)
Greggs flush mounts w/ running lights too (other had cheapo ones)
CA integrated light (other has external LEDs on to the stock light for blinkers)
fender eliminator w/ plate light (other didn't have a light)
SS lines front and back (other had stock lines)
1270 miles (other had 3200)
transferable 4-year warranty (other had nothing)
$7,700 (other was $7,500)
deposit put down (other...well, you know)

Ya...this is a much, much better deal! Thing is clean!

Told you the other wasn't meant to be!....Love this color better!..for my taste anyways!..Cool man..I'm glad that doe burned a hole quickly on the rebound!...:boobs:

I was tempted!

Gas Man 07-01-2010 07:36 PM

I agree. If it wasn't mean to be it wasn't meant to be. And NOW you know why.

Porkchop 07-01-2010 07:41 PM

Congrats! That thing looks mean, and I like the pipe better.

marko138 07-01-2010 10:13 PM

It's a big brother to your R6.

Particle Man 07-01-2010 10:15 PM

MUCH nicer - EFF that other guy

tached1000rr 07-01-2010 10:19 PM

sweet hope to see a ride report soon....

goof2 07-01-2010 10:23 PM

Better color, better stuff, and less miles. The other guy did you a favor.

Mr Lefty 07-01-2010 10:30 PM

Nice... but two things... how do you have a bike for two fucking years and only put 1270 miles on it?! especially after dumping probably close to 2 grand into it only to sell it for what, 3 grand loss? :idk:

good score though for you D.

oh... the other thing was the polished rims lips... ruin the black and gold theme IMO

DLIT 07-01-2010 10:35 PM

Rims will be powdercoated black and I'm gonna see who will trade some black forks for the golds. It'll be the same theme as my R6. And I know plenty of people who don't ride their shit whatsoever.

Yeah be much better with gold forks and black rims...

I actually had a guy that I met at a gas station talk to me about my bike... when I said I'd put close to 14k on my bike in 8 months he replied... "damn you think it will last much longer?" and "and no ones gonna buy a bike with that high mileage!" :idk: don't really buy things with the mind set on how much I can sell it for...

DLIT 07-02-2010 12:33 AM

No. Black forks with black wheels. Like my bike now...minus the pinstriping on the wheels.

I know. One SLIGHTLY faster than the other, haha. I think it'll be cool as fuck.

Thanks.

Cutty72 07-02-2010 12:47 AM

Yeah, that R6 will be faster through the twisties, being it's lighter and all

z06boy 07-02-2010 08:54 AM

Nice...hope it works out.

marko138 07-02-2010 09:05 AM

The lines on the R6 are definitely cleaner than the R1.

Agree. But the R1 from behind with a set of pipes...nothing beats it. Except a 1098 with pipes or a stock MV.

CrazyKell 07-02-2010 01:34 PM

Love the black and gold of both bikes.

Congrats? Or have you spoken too soon about buying this one?

DLIT 07-02-2010 01:41 PM

There's still a small window of me speaking too soon. The check's in the mail though!

Dave 07-02-2010 03:26 PM

Those things are a little explosive up top ;)

CrazyKell 07-02-2010 03:37 PM

Hope it works out and you get it. Looks sweet.

Homeslice 07-02-2010 03:43 PM

You need dark bronze wheels on both bikes. And black rearsets.

Black everything sounds rather boring (and unsafe/invisible) to me, especially when you've already got another black bike........but to each his own. :dthumb:

Yamaha are the best quality bikes in the world, IMO.

I can see why you'd say it's rather boring. I like my bikes to look average. But when you do find out what I've actually done to it, maybe you'll realize it isn't so boring. Google a stock '09 black/gold R6 and you'll see...
