Last Viper rolls off

Why such a shitty color choice?

ontwo 07-03-2010 01:45 AM

I agree. Why baby shit green to finish off the line?

Full Throttle 07-03-2010 01:47 AM

Yea that color sucks

Gas Man 07-03-2010 02:23 AM

Kinda sad really. The most respectable car dodge ever made.

Captain Morgan 07-03-2010 09:57 AM

For some ignorant reason, it seems a lot of auto manufacturers choose some outlandish color for a special edition. It's usually hideous, but will always be recognizable.

DLIT 07-03-2010 10:45 AM

I bet that color looks real good in the sun. And that looks like a shitty cell pic.

TommyHotWheel 07-03-2010 10:53 AM

Not the last, I just read that Chrysler decided against losing the Viper and will roll out a new one next year and the ACR-X race car will still be built.

Homeslice 07-03-2010 01:33 PM

Be nice if they used an engine that didn't sound like a UPS truck to a bystander's ears.

defector 07-03-2010 02:04 PM

I think it is supposed to be gold (or yellow) and red. Hulkster, anyone?

TYEster 07-03-2010 03:09 PM

Why are they canceling production again?

bad economy made the line too expensive to keep up and running

Cause Telsa got a bail out and we all know that every one will be driving those.

Hopefully one based on the hemi and not ancient LA blocks?

Instantly what I thought.... the lights in the factory look like they are messing with the color. Will look real good in person.

I've been asking that about the F-Body GM cars for years now :(

Rumor out of Detroit is there is a bunch of twin turbo Hemi engines being tested. I wanna see them but the last time this guy was right and that was the v-10 launch. He is a friends Dad and he works in the big building.

If anything it would be better. The existing motor's firing order sounds like a truck, not a sports car.

Sure with the stock exhaust. They sound great with the right system

That can be said for a lot of vehicles.

I've always thought the same thing. I like the Viper a lot except for the sound...well the intense heat in the cockpit and underdoor sidepipes doesn't help either.

I thrashed one around a track and it stuck like glue and pulled hard BUT my former Mustang and my Vette just sound soooo much better.

I hate to see it go though to be honest.

newB45 07-06-2010 11:29 AM

The sad thing behind that "last" car is that it's was probably sold before it ever left the line.

One of the best things about the nsx is the sound, its worthless having a stereo in that car

Well I'm in the car but yeah that's mine  vid does no justice, I have the kit that turns the left airscoop and the stock airbox into a true ram air system. The induction howl from the drivers seat is amazing.

There's another vid of me handing a wrx its ass at atco but I've. Never been able to find it

Its not the last...its the last public consumption car of this generation...even on the Dodge website. The ACR and ACR-X will be made until the redesign is put into production.

What is a "public consumption car"?

A car you can get from dealer stock. The ACR and ACR-X are purpose built race cars that you have to have special licenses for, if I am not mistaken.

P.S. That Zed makes my daddy parts tingle.

Got it. Thanks for clarifying for me.
