where the hell did you see a race prepped 1125?!?!?!
and define "race prepped"

marko138 06-01-2008 06:33 PM

Race prepped. It was someone's race bike. Front fairing was cut down. All the unneccesarry bullshit taken off. And had numbers.

It was at the Ephrata breakfast run.

By race prepped i was thinking you maybe meant full fairings, aftermarket pipe, and race plastic vs stock fairing.

had me a bit excited there for a bit.

marko138 06-01-2008 06:40 PM

Actually, no, stock exhaust on that sucker. And no lower fairing. Different front. Coulda maybe been a firebolt front.

I was there today, but I didn't walk around much...I pretty much showed up, then we left for a 200 mile ride...man it was packed at Ephrata Breakfast this morning.

marko138 06-01-2008 10:49 PM

Fucking right it was. I didn't get there till 10am...and I was parked in left field of the baseball field. Packed as hell.

Rider 06-02-2008 08:11 AM

Should be new bike day for me today... Which means this bike will be gone.

Rider 06-02-2008 09:10 AM

Fuck... alright. 2008 GSX-R750. Ended up going with the black and orange.

marko138 06-02-2008 09:11 AM

Probably. Still hashing out trade in value. Were within $500 of what I want. I figure if they come up $250, I'll go down $250 and meet them in the middle and close the deal. I got a great price for the new bike though. $500 under MSRP OTD.

marko138 06-02-2008 09:16 AM

Thats pretty solid. I'd like to ride a new 750, see how they feel. Not that I'd buy one...but what the hell.

 I'd like to ride any I4. But most dealers won't demo.

marko138 06-02-2008 09:43 AM

Thats cuz too many rookies wanna come in and smash the bikes to hell.

They should have an experience/gear chart. Say: "You, in full gear with 10,000 miles. You can ride the CBR600RR. You, with the tennis shoes and "dirt bike experience," you get to ride the pit bike."

fpzx10 06-02-2008 01:45 PM

Congrats dude :dthumb:

Rider 06-02-2008 01:50 PM

It's a done deal. I'm now officially a squid. :panic:

The Z in being traded in and I pic up the new bike tonight. They offered me the bike in either blue/white or orange/black. Which one should I get?

Cutty72 06-02-2008 02:18 PM

COngrats...

I'd go orange black. Way too many blue/white GSXR's out there.

JoJoYZF 06-02-2008 02:37 PM

Orange and black. Congrats man

marko138 06-02-2008 03:49 PM

Orange and black is cool. Blue and white is classic. Probly less orange on the road tho.

You gonna get rid of the hideous pipe?

rider76 06-02-2008 04:04 PM

Congrats on the new bike and :withstupid: on the pipe

dReWpY 06-02-2008 05:32 PM

Mr Lefty 06-02-2008 05:36 PM
