It's official
I left Fri for McKinney TX and got the FZ1. Hauled it back on Sat, two long days of driving but it was worth it :D
I did about a 40-50mi test ride on it out in TX following the seller on his R1 and I took it out today for a short 40mi ride before the family got together for the holiday. I really like this bike!! :dthumb: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ted/FZ1_01.jpg |

It's really nice man. How's the ride position?
|
Thanks guys!
Particle, It's perfect for me man. Comfy upright position that's easy on my back and wrists. |
Nice! time to update that avatar!

Outstanding!

Nah, that's ok. I didn't want to meat up with you or anything. It's not like I had any plans or anything. It's all good. I'm just a boy playin with his penis.

If I ever get back out that way I'll definitely holler at ya and make some time where we can hang out. |
How much was it that you drove for 2 days to get it? What year is it and mileage?

It's an easier bike to ride at or near the limit than my GSX-R750 was, that's for sure. Honestly, though....I miss the performance of the 750...but I don't really miss owning it, if that makes any sense. It was a fun "thrill" bike but not such a good "ride every day" bike. At least for me. I love the FZers....never ridden one but they look like a nice compromise between an SS and a power cruiser. |

This was at Deals Gap last year at the rally (May 09) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ted/kb5_05.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...d/us129_10.jpg The VTX was a great bike, I just wanted something sportier and the FZ is a good comprimise for a little comfort without sacrificing much on performance. It doesn't hurt my back or hands/arms at all. I took the long way home tonight to hit a couple of my favorite roads around here and I really like it. Needs some tweaking on the stock suspension though, I haven't even set the sag on it yet. I'll start on that as soon as a friend can come over to help me measure. |
