Season's officially started.

If I'm riding you know it's time. C'mon son. Left work early today so I could break Sir Buellis Buellington out of hibernation.

Put the battery in her and snapped a pic.

SHE STARTS! Right away and no hesitation. Fired right up and settled into that familiar potato-potato idle.

Starting miles for the year:

Let's ride, son.

Stopped and took a shot along the river looking at the capital city:

I work in the big ass domed building:
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/IMAG0262.jpg

Only did about 15 miles (typical, I know). Traffic sucked at 5pm. So I came home and celebrated with a Leinenkugel Summer Shandy.

Everything felt good. Rode great.

marko138 04-14-2011 06:25 PM

BTW...fucking love spring. Shit is growing again. Not too hot, not too cold. Can sit on my patio and have a beer with my dog. Also uploaded and posted this business. The beauties of modern living.

today was the first day this year of making field calls on the bike. Put in 193 miles. Should be making field calls on it until Oct, I hope.

Cutty72 04-14-2011 11:34 PM

Nice pics man, and great choice of beer.

Rode to work a couple days ago.

Tonight and tomorrow, it's supposed to snow. 6-10" :td:

Oh, and all the rivers are still close to their crest heights, and some are out of their banks already.

It was 70F here so I took the Chinese scooter to work. Max speed 55mph before engine overspeed.

marko138 04-15-2011 07:58 AM

Only gonna be 60 today and a little windy...but I'm gonna ride to work. I won't be there long anyway....it's Friday.

What's the temp starting at there? It was 28 here this morning but it's gonna be in the mid-50's here as well.

I love it. I racked a growler of it last week from a pizza shop across town and bought a six pack at another pizza shop 2 days ago. It's gone.

Now I know why you don't ride very much. You know that if you ride, you'll have to clean the bike when you get home, so you'd rather it sit in the garage under a cover to save time.

That really has nothing to do with it. I enjoy cleaning my bike. If I rode a billion miles a year I'd still clean it every time.

Now they are releasing record amounts of water out of the dam feeding an already record height river going through towns where the dikes are at there max... great times.

And it's still snowing! :tremble:

tommymac 04-16-2011 12:05 AM

Marko knows I will have good beer on hand, but you need to bring the bike to PA for him LOL

That's not gonna get it done.

caveman 04-16-2011 10:45 AM

I have been riding here in Mich since the first week of March when we had that 70° heat wave. Then had to put her back away for a few weeks when it dipped back down to the low 30's and 20's. Then bout a week ago got her back out and rode to work only to have to head home in the rain at around 40°.
As of Friday there have been winds nearing the 40mph zone and I hate riding when I have to have a 20°lean while goin straight to compensate for the wind. Leanin is for turns.

Todays looking kinda decent, I am going to get the priller out for a shakedown run after I bleed the rear brake, then get her inspected tomorrow.

Yeah I took the bus out for a nice little ride.. shined everything up with that bugslide stuff.. works pretty well.. nice n ez.. Saw a ton of bikes out in my 30 mins out there.. Also saw a new mustang try n hang with a sport bike and almost go sideways into the woods.. kept my distance after that one..

marko138 04-17-2011 08:31 PM

Didn't ride today...but I did get a good range sesh in with my XD. Man, that felt awesome. I haven't shot my gun in almost a year.

tommymac 04-17-2011 08:42 PM

Well tried to take her out for a shakedown ride and it wouldnt start. had it off the charger since I did the oil change last week, it started right up then, kinda odd it would die this fast. Welll its on the tender now and I am battery shopping :(

Any recomendations on where to buy from would be greatley appreciated

tommymac 04-17-2011 09:41 PM

Well I managed to turn her over and did a 15 mile jaunt. Not too bad, barke pads need soem time ot bed in, not too much smoke for the first start up of the year. The new steering bearrings made a very noticeable difference in the steering. I will keep her on the charger for now but hopefully the battery is ok.

Cutty72 04-18-2011 07:31 PM

A battery store.
