Ok to use 5w during summer?
Since the oil is 40 viscosity, it shouldnt matter at operating temps. Advance has the Rotella T6 5w-40 thats the same no conservative and has JASO approvals.
I have been using it in my priller for about 30k miles now and no issues.
Im going to be putting it in my VFR.
Rotella is what I used in the 600 and what I use in the DRZ and CRF.

I had some concerns in th epriller being its a twin but several guys us eit an done is in arizona with over 100k on the clock so I guess it cant be too bad running in th eheat they have down there.
Ive ran the 15w-40 triple protection with no problems. Never could find the T6 and Advance finally carries it. The T5 comes in 10-30w and is semiblend. I have that in my vehicle right meow.
I run Rotella 5w-40 in my car and two bikes.. love that oil.. relatively cheap and always scores really high on tests.
I have run it in both car and bike. Cheaper than Mobil 1, that's for sure.
Same here. Works great in the bike for me
Rotella synthetic user here. It goes in my cars, my bikes, my lawn mower, everything.
I used it in my EX500, but I didn't like it in my ZX6R. It didn't seem to allow the engine to rev quick like Mobil MXT40 does. Could be in my head tho...
