dReWpY 05-30-2011 07:59 PM

97 degrees and I just went cliff jumping....
I love TN

Rangerscott 05-30-2011 08:07 PM

Went to see my Dad this weekend and it was 100F ever day. The wind felt like a hair dryer in your face. The never let up, even during the night. I got to ride home today for 3 hours sideways. Super Awesome.

Gas Man 05-30-2011 08:24 PM

I cut the grass and washed both cars... that was enuff. Had to shower again.

Another one of these Tuesday... then back down to the 80s, thankfully.

Particle Man 05-30-2011 08:57 PM

It was 98 here today. Freaking crazy.

Porkchop 05-30-2011 09:15 PM

For as hot as it was here today, this evening hasn't been bad. I actually got in a 15 mile bike ride since the gym was closed. It felt good in my play-dry, but I started getting hit in the face with a bunch of bugs, so I stopped.

Gas Man 05-30-2011 09:28 PM

Yeah it's just stupid hot and I have little to no interest in riding in anything over 85*.

derf 05-30-2011 09:28 PM

It was hot as balls here too, I rotated between sitting out back and spraying the neigborhood kids with the hose and sitting in the air conditioning all day. it was nice.

Oh yes on the riding sideways. 45mph winds for 250 miles beat the shit out of me today. Was a hell of a to start the summer riding season, but being KS it will be this way all the time. :hangman:

85ish today with 80% humidity. Now, thunderstorms and tornado's. Got about 3/4" of rain in 10 min, heard there were highline poles ripped out and thrown onto the highway 4 miles south, and tons of trees down.

Pups are safe w/me down in the basement, listening to the sump pump run every 5 min or so.

101lifts2 05-31-2011 01:19 AM

It was 82 here...but the weekend was quite cold 63F.

tallywacker 05-31-2011 07:15 AM

Going to be 97 here again today. I got burnt to a crisp yesterday at the track

Hope you have a battery backup sump. We just bought one a few months back, and it takes the worry out of torrential rain. I used to dread hearing that thing run non stop, but now its like fuck it, there's two pumps down there now.

I have a backup generator, and a spare pump. It's ran like that from Feb through April, had just slowed down to about 4 times a day... then all this rain and it's going again. Still about every 20 min, damn water table is just too high.

Particle Man 06-02-2011 02:12 PM

Freaking wind. And it was 90 yesterday and 50 today. Wtf.

Avatard 06-02-2011 02:15 PM

I feel your pain. NJ has two ambient conditions:

Insanely hot and humid

Insanely cold and damp

Comfortable temps and humidity levels represent at best 5 weeks total for the year (and not all at once, of course...really just a few days here and there).

It's no wonder I get fucking headaches. My body doesn't know wtf is going on.

Over the last couple years we seem to be moving to a 2 season set up here in the Northeast. Cold as shit and Hot as fuck. Spring and Fall appear to be gone. Possibly forever.

I gotta give you some of those Brazilian migraine pills to try. They might help, and you may be able to get them shipped up here if you can find an online Pharmacy that will play ball.

You should come visit, AMJ's here through the weekend. We're attacking the basement studio project for what I hope will be the last push...

I'm working on getting another customer in South Jersey. Hopefully soon I will have regular trips down there.
