How many people at your work ride?

the second floor of the parking garage at work has a section reserved for bikes and it's usually filled up every day. About 10-12 bikes at any given time and surprisingly enough there's 4 kats (including mine). Some peeps are just in the know :D

anywho, do you all have a lot of riders where you work?

This was a light day for riders since they were calling for rain later on..

Mrs. Colleen 07-25-2008 07:43 PM

I am the only one with a motorcycle...my one coworker has this odd scooter type thing. But there are only 9-10 preschool staff.

Read the question again.

dReWpY 07-25-2008 07:46 PM

damnit... pwned

one other guy, he has a motard and a bmw duel purpose something or other...

R1up0n1 07-25-2008 08:16 PM

I'm the only one that rides at my work.

Mrs. Colleen 07-25-2008 08:20 PM

You should add how many people work at your company...

MikeSP1 07-25-2008 08:58 PM

Too damn many people in my shop to try to count, but motorcycle parking (20+ slots) is always full, whether it's 2 o'clock in the afternoon or 2 o'clock in the morning. Oh and one of those is one of mine :)

DLIT 07-25-2008 09:12 PM

There's three other guys in my shop that ride sportbikes. Two GSXR 600s and a R6.

jtemple 07-25-2008 09:15 PM

1 Harley
1 Triumph (cruiser)
1 Yamaha Fazer
1 Ninja 250
1 10R (me)

So, 5. 5 of us that ride to work. There may be more bike owners that don't ride them.

comonboys 07-25-2008 09:19 PM

There's five of us that work at my store. I am the only one who rides. Actually, I think that I am the only one at the bar and verizon......What a bunch of pussy's I work with.......

Slick 07-25-2008 09:25 PM

I am the only one that rides to work. There are probably 70 to 80 people in the building where I work. Company wide there are about 200 and I only know of one other person at a branch that rides a motorcycle. (also female)

I think there are peeps that own motorcycles, but they don't ride them to work for some reason.

WildKat 07-25-2008 10:33 PM

They are going to have to soon give us some more spaces that's for sure. It used to really only be me and a few others but now it's to the point that on a normal day you have to start parking closer and closer together for everyone to fit.

BobTheBiker 07-25-2008 10:43 PM

where I used to work, I was THE ONLY biker there. if you didnt count hte dirtbike that belonged to the boss's son in the back of the shop. when I was in school, I was the only guy, aside from ONE custodian who rode, ever.

Bree 07-25-2008 11:32 PM

I'm a nanny so I'm pretty much the only employee, but best believe the lil 2 yr old I watch will be on her cr50 soon.

JoJoYZF 07-25-2008 11:55 PM

As of right now in my store of a little over 100 there are only 2 other riders, one r6 and one custom harley. We just had a girl transfer out that rode and her retard boyfriend who still works there totaled his last year. The only bikes there are typically mine and the harley, the r6 rider is a pretty big poser.

OneSickPsycho 07-26-2008 12:07 AM

None. But one chick is looking at getting a bike and a couple reps rumble about it...

Gas Man 07-26-2008 09:01 AM

I ride at work sometimes.... hard to do when I have a work truck... but on the weekends or mid nights...

marko138 07-26-2008 10:18 AM

Me. And one guy in Master Control rode an old ass Yami one time. But I've only seen it in the lot once. A producer, who was just fired, rode a scooter. So officially....1.

jalaan1 07-26-2008 06:29 PM

just me and one of the nurses with her tiedie colored Sportster
(which actually does look pretty cool)

there are two other chicks that ride Ninja 250s but haven't riden them to work yet because they'd have "hair issues, because of the helmet" :idk:

PhiSig1071 07-26-2008 07:27 PM

Down here there are four other people who ride, out of a staff of about 150. My old job I was the only one who actually rode to work, but the owner of the company and her husband rode occasionally. And my other job EVERYBODY rides! (I'm an MSF Ridercoach)

'73 H1 Triple 07-26-2008 09:16 PM

There's 12 people out in the shop and 5 of us ride. ( 6 if you count the guy who lives 3 miles away and rides his bicycle)
Dave has a tricked out Kawa KZ750 & a Triumph T100
My ZR1100
Jeremy's bandit
Jeff ( welder) just got a HD 883 ( basic model and it looks great )

and of course the 285 lb guy on the 50cc scooter

Jeff

Cutty72 07-27-2008 02:56 PM

well, technically i'm unemployed, so 100% of the people ride, ME!

at my last job there were probably close to 100 employees
the bikes there were
08 1125R
08 Nightster
07 GSXR600
07 R1
05 Kawi cruiser
03 HD
04 F4i
92 GSXR 750 (pink)
89 FZ 750
81 Goldwing
and a few people on pedal bikes

so 10 counting me.

ybslow 07-27-2008 05:53 PM

There are two of us who ride sportbikes, and people think we are crazy. Another co-worker used to have a cruiser but gave it up when she had her baby girl.

Mr Lefty 07-27-2008 10:26 PM

My new OIC (officer in charge) just sold his 03 600rr before he left... he had it for 3 years never dropped it... 3 days after he sold it... the kid totalled it in a parking lot...

there's probably 4 or 5 that ride sportbikes, another 3 or 4 that ride harleys... out of 400...

none of us actually have a ride here... thank god... as I'd be one jealous mother fucker...

You're lying.

Trip 07-27-2008 10:47 PM

a bunch of people, too many too count. I don't know 80% of the people at the plant because most of them are contractors that come and go. There are a couple of guys in my group that do, I am working on bringing another engineer with me to the track that rides a red gixxer 600.

Two other guys I talk to regularly, a manager that has a motard and another engineer that rocks both a drz motard and a super duke, just sold a bad ass ktm motard too.

nope, that's why i thought it was funny that you had one when i got on the old place. and how I know what it's like to ride one.

it isn't as clean as yours was, but he recently bought it from a different co-worker for $2K. bout 15K miles

neebelung 07-28-2008 07:45 AM

I think we've got a total of about 7 or 8 people who ride - 1 guy in Purchasing, 2 guys in transportation, one of our truck drivers, 1 of the production managers, and a few guys out in the plant. And then me,

Sixxxxer 07-28-2008 10:13 AM

Theres about 50 People at my Work And I'm one of Two People who Ride...The Other one is a Mid 40 Year old Mom of Three who rides a Honda Shadow!!

But PLENTY OF Motorcycles Ride through my work ALL Day...So I see plenty of Bikers who I get to Chit Chat with.

NeonspeedRT 07-28-2008 10:28 AM

We have a 3 story parking garage here at work. We had at least one dedicated motorcycle parking spot on each floor. In each of those spots, you could park 6 to 9 motorcycles each. They have been pretty full every day this summer. So they just gave us an additional parking spot on the 1st floor. There are easily 20 + bikes in the garage every day.

No shit. I don't recall you saying that at the old place. Same color scheme as mine? What about yellow wheels? I actually saw one same as mine (again, not as clean)...but I was impressed to see another one on the road.

Rider 07-29-2008 08:28 AM

We have 2 buildings. The building I am in(about 600 people) there are 13 guys and 1 girl who ride. The other building(about 800 people) there are about 20 people who ride.

compared to my SV or my buell, it was big and heavy. Not bad at speed, but until you got it rolling. :panic:

Beast to push around the driveway for sure. It always felt so planted in corners. You couldn't shake that thing. Ask OTB...it handled really well.

Never got to ride it aggressively, just a bit around town. And in the parking lot to prove it would wheelie (owner didn't think it would/could w/o the clutch)

marko138 07-30-2008 12:53 PM

I never tried to wheelie that thing. I know it would....as I did it a few times unitentionally.

There are a few harley riders here at the college I work with. I'm the only sportbike rider. I don't ride mine because students here have no idea of boundaries and would sit on it.

thats when you put a loud ass alarm on it with a radius of like 5 feet. So anyone who breaks that barrier it starts yelling at them.... OOOOO would that be funny. I want one that I can record what I want it to say but in a different voice cause mine doesn't sound so scary.

felyn3 08-03-2008 12:17 PM

I work at a nursing hoome that has about 350 employees. Granted, there is a larger % of female employees, but I know of only 3 people that ride- myself, the maintenance boss, and a gal that rides a scooter.

t-homo 08-03-2008 12:22 PM

I am the only one, however, I am my dad's only employee.
