Update....

47mpg out of this tank of gas. And this motherfucking bike handles like a dream on a twisty road. And, uh, yes...that 47mpg was twisty thrashing. Back to you.

Nice! suprised you still have the pass pegs on

marko138 08-03-2008 05:12 PM

Wife likes to ride on back occasionally....otherwise I'd ditch them.

Mr Lefty 08-03-2008 05:23 PM

ahh ok... just saw the solo cowl... couldn't remember if your wife liked to ride or not

marko138 08-03-2008 05:28 PM

The seat is hidden nicely under the cowl.

That pic is a month or two old...I have since polished the headers...and they look awesome.

Mr Lefty 08-03-2008 05:33 PM

nice! that's the same rear end as on the 1125r isn't it!?

you need to get more recent pics up then bro

and maybe a sound clip of the exhaust...

No Worries 08-03-2008 05:33 PM

It's similar rear to the 1125. Cutty said his bike has a helmet lock...this doesn't. So they aren't identical.

Yeah I need a sound clip....it sounds incredible.

I saw a guy pushing a blinged out, cameleon paint job, chrome wheeled firebolt to a gas station Friday. Guess gas mileage wasn't so good on his.

Just figured it out, look at the second pic you posted.

I saw a lot of buells when I was passing them this weekend.

Gas mileage may have been great....his knowledge of how many miles he gets out of a tank might not have been.

Word. Never noticed.

DLIT 08-03-2008 08:18 PM

How much of a pain is it to remove and replace your pass pegs? I use to just swap 'em out whenever I took her for a ride. Only took 5-10 minutes.

jalaan1 08-03-2008 08:19 PM

nice as usual.

Thanks man.

Two bolts each, 5/16" allen wrench... I think. Not hard after the first time you break the thread locker. Of course, I only took mine off... 10 minute job.

Mr Lefty 08-03-2008 08:43 PM

that's what I was thinking... heard the 1125R was easy.. that's why I asked about it being the same tail

marko138 08-03-2008 08:45 PM

Well shit...I might take mine off.

Yup, 2 allen bolts each.

and the Zadi is a brand of the iginition i'm guessing. Have it on mine as well.

Big Kahuna 08-03-2008 10:13 PM

Wow, sweet bike Marko. Those things are just too tiny for my fat ass but I love the look and styling of those bad boys.

Nice Mark. I'm glad the new bike has gotten you back on the road a bit... you seemed like you had lost interest towards the end of your time with Pinky.

I have to take mine off for trackdays, it's in the rules... but I always leave them on for trailering, that's where I attach the rear tiedowns.

I'm going to have to figure something else out now that I have the track plastics unless I want to take the tail off...

t-homo 08-04-2008 01:35 AM

Bike looks damn nice Marko.

Only in the straights.

That's really the only good passing points at NSS. Not worth it to force a pass in the corners there for just a track day.

I got some of you buells coming out of 10 on the long sweeper to the front straight though.

I don't think I made a single pass in a corner all night come to think of it. I either outbraked or had more top end.

dReWpY 08-04-2008 11:37 AM

i made mine either coming outof T10 or coming out of T6, i mostly got passed into turn 1

Trip 08-04-2008 12:03 PM

According to this I made all my passes going into 6 and in turn 10, with a few entering 2.

dReWpY 08-04-2008 12:11 PM

coming out of 5b, didnt have the balls to try for 6

And that's why I made a lot of passes there, It takes balls of steel to go into that weird transition hot.

I was able to make a couple passes coming into turn one and I made a couple between three and four.

I did make a shameful pass of an RC51 in turn 10 coming into the long straight.

I think the rider just wanted to check out my ass.

He had the number 4 and What What on his back.

It's definately gotten back on the road more. I had very little interest in riding the Zuk. Not that it was a bad bike, because it wasn't...I just lost interest in it.

This bike is the exact opposite. I love every minute on the Buell. It's so much fun. I just pop it into 2nd or 3rd gear (doesn't matter which) and hammer it.

I use canyon dancers and that's it. But the roads in New England are shit compared to out here. S-H-I-T!

marko138 08-05-2008 01:18 PM

I use Canyon Dancer and one through the rear wheel. Good to go.

You mean you only strap down the front of the bike into a chock?

If I did that I think the rear wheel would be hopping all over the damn place.

I'm not sure if the eyehooks I sunk into the bed of the trailer are at a good angle to do it that way... hmmm.

What I'd really like is to grab an enclosed dealie and get a couple of those pitbull trailer restraints in there

marko138 08-05-2008 03:05 PM

An enclosed trailer would be cash money.

No surprise there. Slow azz piece of shite. If you CAN'T pass me with 30% more HP, you should be ashamed.

He was pushing it from a Trailer Park and I think he put in a gallon. He wasn't at the pump for long.

Cutty72 08-05-2008 09:02 PM

Canyon dancer on the front, one strap on each side of the swingarm in the rear. No problems.

Gas Man 08-06-2008 01:01 AM

Cutty is right... 90% of your strapping hold comes from the front of the bike. The rear is just to keep it from bouncing around. I have hauled many bikes and all of my bike numerous times...

Nothing like $100K in one trailer!!

Gas Man 08-06-2008 01:28 AM

twins... maybe... a few years apart and not identical in any means... and NO freakin way... these bikes are NOT for the ill willed... they are a hand full to ride especially when you give it the twist twist or try to turn.
