HELP!!!

Ok here's the choices....and I have to decide FAST!!!

1. buy back my bike for $1200 and buy a 2005 GSXR1000 with under 600 miles for $8000 otd.

2. buy back my bike and buy a 2007 GSXR1000 with with under 2000 miles and a bunch of chrome on it,incld rims for $9200 otd

3. buy back my bike and pimp it out to the max and have money in the bank

Please keep the smartass answers until later,I need to decide by tomorrow!

Cutty72 08-11-2008 07:01 PM

Option 1, but talk them down to $7000.

Trip 08-11-2008 07:04 PM

I am going with option 4, buy your bike back, fix it back to the way it was, and buy another bike of a different riding style. Since you live in NC, you probably have access to some good dirt or dual sport riding and that's an absolute blast.

Me too. Itd be sweet to have two gsxrs, but I dont really see a reason for it. If you wanted too sportbikes Id buy yours back cheap and buy a 600 or 750 for track use.

Umm...what is wrong with a GSXR1000 track bike? That was the whole point of buying my old bike back and buying a new bike....

Nothing, but many people that just ride track seem to choose 600s or 750s for more flickability

OOOOOOOh, Those are real nice!

I would buy your bike back if the frame is straight fo sho!

No brainer there, The other bikes will always be out there if you want to resell it for more cash, And you get to rob all your good shit off it man! Very clear choice to me. Shit its not like your scared to work on it! It may even be fun.

Good luck but remember they make new bikes every day!

Not with a salvage title you don't. Once the insurance totaled your bike, your extended warranty is null and void. Sell back the remaining time on your warranty and get part of your money back.

Yeah right... I have seen the DMV or SoS screw up and not even total out the title... let alone tell Suz USA.

Smittie61984 08-14-2008 06:47 PM

I'd get the bike back and anothr Gixxer and get two tattoos on each arm. Except put giXXXer to make it hardcore.

Actually get the bike back and put it back to normal and maybe a few add ons (Not like a 1000cc bike needs more power) and take the rest of the money and go to a Racing School.

Oh yeah don't ever get those Hong Kong fairings. The CBR600 F3 guys know them well and they are junk. There are some companies that make nice fairing kits but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

I'll be buying a set of fairings from cali cars and bikes here in the next few weeks, i'll be sure to write up a review.

I figure my favorite color is white,my second fav. is blue and then black so why not? Oh and I talked to the guy from from Cali Cars and Bikes for about a 1/2 hour. They get their plastic from China but from an exclusive company there... IDK. I figured for $600 bucks shipped,I can hardly go wrong.

How can you even have one of the options involve buying a chromed out gixxer

Oh it wasn't "chromed out" Just had chrome rims, footpegs, and one or two other small parts. I'm not a big fan of chrome...besides,I could have bought stock pegs and parts for cheap on EBay. It really doesn't matter as I kept my bike and ordered all the parts to fix it for *drum roll*

1. complete body kit $600 shipped
2. radiator $150 shipped
3. forks $130 shipped
4. exhaust $26 shipped(stock headers)
5. fan $35 shipped
6. headlight $39 shipped

Basically I have less than $1000 involved so far! I rode the bike yesterday for 20 miles or so and it feels ok. I'm starting to regret ordering the forks but since I haven't ridden it hard,I can't be sure that the forks are ok. I hope so since my original forks were modded by Race Tech and professionally set-up for me,so I can't just replace one and go about my business...

Oh and a lot of people will give me crap for the race bike look alike theme but I was planing to repaint bike bike this winter anyway,so I figured it would be a fun look for the Fall.

dReWpY 08-17-2008 01:36 PM

fuck'em, i like the race replica look

Thankyou,Drewpster! You're my best friend!!!

Smittie61984 08-17-2008 03:18 PM

It'd be cool if you could find some old skool Suzuki colors. Like the Smoking Joes for the Honda's.

But I love the race replica kits.

NONE_too_SOFT 08-17-2008 04:00 PM

yea, im goin the replica route w/ new skin. Its something you dont see a lot. although you also dont see a lot of yellow cbrs...

IM stuck between 3 sets though, the movistar replics, west replicas, and a simple white and black set...

Mr Lefty 08-17-2008 04:31 PM

I like the race rep look usually.... I say usually cause I have seen an old Rossi Rep Honda that was stretched and slammed.... chromed out frame and pegs... ect... looked like shit.

Yea,I'm trying an EBay kit. It's $600 to my door so...

Mr Lefty 08-17-2008 06:11 PM

from where? your bike probably has more options than mine did... only had 3... one was black... I've got the link saved... but I'm just wondering about fit...

ya not much out there for the zzr

Mr Lefty 08-17-2008 07:11 PM

even if you search 00-02 ZX6R there isn't much... suprising... but ehh...

thing is... those kits are cheaper than buying the two stock side fairings... but I'd have to get my tank painted... so it ends up more expensive.

really I don't care anymore... next plastics I buy will probably be track plastics... and those too are on the rare side for my bike

Ummm...most of these companies will paint your fairings any color you want for a $50 fee. Plus, isn't your bike basically an old school ZX6? If you're willing to do some modifying I bet that another ZX kit would work on your bike. BTW aren't you giving your bike to your Bro?

Mr Lefty 08-17-2008 09:46 PM

Yeah it's the old 02 ZX6R... and yeah I was going to... but he's gonna be in school for another couple years... so I'll hold on to the bike till then. he needs that 70 mpg he's getting on the 250 while he's in college

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...m260244966216&
is the one I'm leaning to...

and they didn't have any custom paint options

what one are you looking at?

Smittie61984 08-17-2008 10:11 PM

Here is a pic of a cool race replica bike that I like.

Oh I'm stupid! None of the suppliers I'm looking at offer kits for that old of a bike. Man,I like some of those kits! Talk about "Old School"!!!

NONE_too_SOFT 08-17-2008 10:24 PM

damn i was looking at some like that but those look even sweeter on the bike.
