I'm trying to help my friend sell his first bike. its an 87 Kawi EX250 of the very first body style, not the one you're accustomed to seeing.

the good:
clean title, presently registered and running
everything works
daily rider(though it shouldnt be until properly fixed up

the bad:
needs new chain and sprockets,
front forks are 03 and the caliper isnt lined up properly, so you need to either get the newer wheel and rotor, or the 35mm forks and caliper to make it safe to ride daily
triple is misaligned, half ass kid worked on it.
tank needs cleaning and coating plus petcock rebuild,

its only $800 OBO located in New Port Richey FL. you would have to transport it, as neither he nor I have a truck/trailer to move it, unless you want to pay for fuel each way plus a rental truck.

I'm sorry to say but at that price, it ain't that cheap. I can get a newer beater with everything working for $1000.

I've had mine for two years now and she's just not feeling hers anymore. It's not up to me to sell hers, her name is on the monthly bill. She just bought a '08 Accord coupe, too. She went from no car payment to a bike and a car payment.

damn... that's too bad... you should just take it commute on it. but yeah I hear ya... I'm about to buy a 600RR an gain a bike payment... not looking forward to that. but maybe I'll be able to get enough in my PCS to just buy it outright

My wife bought a 08 coupe about 2 months ago. She loves it. Really nice car. How's your wife like it?

Fucking loves it! I fucking love it. She got the gun metal with the rear spoiler and a wheel upgrade. $23k OTD with 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty. Only 5k miles on it.

Thats a hell of a deal. She bought hers brand new. It's black with black leather interior. Really nice with the spoiler and daul exhaust.

V6. She liked the Gun metal the best...but the dealer only had it in the 4. She wanted the extra power.

Her VTech 4 picks up nicely after 3k RPM and redlines at 7. Nice for a 4 cyclinder. Fuck it. She's happy and I don't mind driving her car again. She had a beat up '01 Monte Carlo SS that was shit. All types of things wrong with it.

Yeah...the Vtech is nice. Def. noticable...but she wanted a little more power without getting the revs up.

My wife doesn't even know what RPMs to power means, so I don't think the car will get beat on too much. I'm still slowly taking corners faster and faster to see when the damn tires will squeal. Michelin Pilots work just as good for cars.
