Some track video + pics

Still waiting on my photos to show up but I do have a few. I have a ton of onboard video from the 29th and 30th (good weather the whole time), I'll just post one of my better laps here though.

SUPER!! Love the low shots...

DLIT 10-03-2008 05:37 PM

Bike sounds like it's being raped. Nice work.

Mr Lefty 10-03-2008 05:54 PM

nice.... damn... can't wait to get to the track... pics look pimp!

Captain Morgan 10-03-2008 07:27 PM

Great pics. Looks like your knee pucks are a bit too far off to the side, though. But again, great pics.

Cutty72 10-03-2008 10:39 PM

Lookin good! :dthumb:

And yeah, you don't have to shift near that much at Brainerd...

I think 1 lap consisted of 8 shifts total, that is starting out in 6th WFO on the front straight. Granted, I ride a V-twin, but the guys that raced were using an almost identitcal technique.

The infield camera gimmic is something you need to be spending some fucking cash on, you prick bastard.

CW AF 03 10-05-2008 03:12 AM

Looks good!

Constructive criticism: As long as you do it smoothly, you can get to full throttle MUCH faster than you are. Your turn in is nice and quick, but wait a little later to do it.:dthumb:

Great shots :dthumb:

Looks like a nice way to wast a set of tires.

Appreciate the kind words everyone. I was feeling pretty good out there and hope to carry that momentum into the two track days I have this coming weekend... then it's a long fucking winter until first race weekend :panic:

Yeah... not sure if it's the way my suit fits or just the position of the velcro on the legs but it's a little weird... I had been meaning to move them around a bit. I'll check it out next time.

I also have stock gearing, which I need to change. Amount of shifts may increase in that case lol

That's one of the ones I ordered, son. I'm hoping they show up this week and I'll post them up.

Thanks for the tip... this is one of the things i KNOW I need to work on... basically my braking into turns 1, 3, and 6, and my drive out of 2, 3/4, 10, 12 are where I really need to pick up some time.

I still need to get over my fear of highsiding... I've almost done it a handful of times, and it sets me back.

The main thing I need to do when I start racing in the spring is not be such a vagina. We'll see how that goes...

It's not a waste if you're having the time of your life :dthumb:

Plus, I only use the edges, so I can sell them with a bunch of meat in the middle to street riders and recoup some of my money ;)

Only the Squids will buy my take-offs. Its hard to find a straightaway around here more than a 1/2 mile long. Most Guys need the edge.

Mr Lefty 10-12-2008 10:23 PM

send them down to Rae... I'm sure she could find some squids to buy'm...

I eventually run into sum guys from SC that want the good ones. Truth is I'm to cheap to give'em up till they are pretty well wasted.
