Stompgrips
 

Of the people who have used Stompgrips,how many have tried to ride a bike without them and found that they can't?

I'm taking it you're running into this issue?

I'm so used to mine, I'd probably feel like I was sliding off the bike without them. Stompgrip makes you feel nice & planted.

Never Ridden with them So dunno what its like without them...My Buddy rides with them though and he seems to like them.

Although he did say that hig Leather one peice was starting to rub off and could possibly cause a tear from riding with the Stomgrip.

Yep! I took my bike for a little ride last night and whoa I felt like I wasn't in control at all! SUCKS big time!

Dude, as soon as I bought my new bike and put on around 400 miles without them, I started missing mine very much. So I bought some on Saturday and I feel normal again.

yep tom is planning on taking them off last i heard. from riding his bike it locks in well but im so cramped up on that thing id lock in well anyway

I racked myself when I took them off for a little bit.

Some of the finish (the glossy stuff) has rubbed off of the inside of the knees of my leathers where they contact the Stompgrip. I doubt the protective qualities are harmed.

I'm riding, not going to a fashion show.

wouldn't it be better to use the one brand that is removable and reuse able?

I forgot what they are called but not hard to find. They are a little less agressive but sound like still a good part to have. Who knows you may need to repaint that tank or switch bikes.

Never used em personally...I like to ride hard enough that my ass clenches the seat....

For the record,Stompgrips are reusable...I took mine off before painting and I plan to put them back on.

I've never had a slippage issue, so I dont use them.

Im with Trip on this one, I have friends who swear by them, but I cling plenty well without, whether in leathers or in jeans. The honda I am currently "sitting" for a buddy has them, and I actually found them uncomfortable, but now I dont notice them, nor do they affect my riding in anyway...

To be honest,I didn't think I did either until I used them...now I can't live with out them! Besides,I don't think that leather pants slip as much as denim.

Yeah, I wear leathers 95% of the time. I do notice sliding when I wear jeans. If I wore them more, I would probably need some.

Oh really... Didn't know that. What are you using to reapply them?

I like using stompgrip.
btw- anybody have any hooks up? Seems like that stuff should be cheaper. I mean it's like the stompads for snowboards except bigger and like 5 times the price.

The glue stays with the grip and sticks again IF you don't get it dirty.

I forgot with the crash, I have another set of stompgrips BUT they are for an 06 GSXR1000. You can check if they'll fit your bike. If they do,I'll sell them cheap-privided I don't fuck mine up!

Sweet, how much do you want for em? I'll make em fit. I had grips on my previous tank and now it feels funny without em. I just don't want to pay retail for a new set (yet) since its a rattle can job and I plan on having it re-painted soon.

Ok,I'll put my old ones on and hopefully,I wont fuck them up.
