I'm sure if you keep them dry they will be fine. Store them inside your house so the cold weather wont harm them.

Amber Lamps 10-24-2008 04:23 PM

ordered!!!

Amber Lamps 10-24-2008 04:29 PM

I should have them by Thurday.... Heck,he's bitching about storing them until July but I still have a set of Diablos I need to blow thru...and my tires on the bike have at least 50% on them, heck 75% on the front!

Amber Lamps 10-24-2008 04:41 PM

Ha,ha! I pre-sold my used tires for $100 and have possibly sold the new Pirellis for $200! Yay! Now hopefully I like the Bridgestones or :panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:: panic:

I wonder what the 160 set sells for? :idk:

I have heard good things about these as a street/track tire, I might try them out.

I don't think they sell in that size...:sorry:

PhiSig1071 10-24-2008 05:21 PM

Yeah, they makes them in everything from a 150 to a 190, they even have two different sizes of 160. a 160-17 and a 160-18.

I just don't think CG stocks that size, I think it's a special order item, which is weird, because it's standard size on older 600's, SV650's and the 650R kawi's.

I just typed BT-016 into google and this popped up. I'm sure CG could order them.

Amber Lamps 10-24-2008 05:39 PM

According to Kyle at Cycle Gear you can get the package with a 160 for the 180 package price.

jeeps84 10-24-2008 11:51 PM

Butterax's have came a long way. Good price.

Motorcycle superstore was the only place I could find a 190-55 Diablo Rosso. Everywhere else only had 190-50

PhiSig1071 10-25-2008 02:57 PM

Weird.

Now that you mention that I think I noticed Cycle Gear not having the 160 sizes. My F3 is a 160. Now I had a killer deal on the PP 2ct front from cycle gear. $120 for the front!!! I got the last one too.

On my old Yamaha SecaII I had a I think 130/60/18 or something like that for the rear. I know I had an 18 on the rear. That was a bitch to find. The only tire I could find was the Bridgestone Battlax BT-45. It was a decent tire though.

I'm on a Pilot Road now. If I don't like that I migt look into the Bridgestones.

fatburg 10-25-2008 04:21 PM

just orderd a pair. Cost me $20 shipping cause i didn't read this thread early enough. There is a CG down the road but close at noon. OH well, still cheaper then anything else i was gonna buy

Check out the Pilot Road 2ct as well. It has the Pilot Power side rubber with the pilot road center compound. Great stick in the corners and long life, I have a few friends who ride on them.

Actually I'm sporting a Pilot Road 2 on the rear. Pilot 2ct on the front. When the front wears out in about a 1,000 miles or so I'll get the PR 2 to see how it does. If I'm not happy after those I'll get another tire. But it should be a good test for the PR2 since I commute daily on my bike but I also hit the mountains on it too.

Ive heard from quite a few people that the road 2 front isnt that great for twisties. You may be better off with just a standard pilot power.

Good point. I think it's harder to heat up the entire tire with the PR2s compound being harder in the middle. But maybe the life of the PP/2ct front will be roughly the same as the Pilot Road 2 rear.

A lot of guys on my bike specific forum run 160 or 170 pr2 rears with pp fronts and because of fronts naturally wearing easier the softer front wears pretty similar to the harder rear. Ive yet to try it and with the season ending up here Ill have to wait til spring to give it a shot.
