The '09 Yummys... er... Yammys
 

Dropped by the local Yamaha dealer last night, to check out what accessories they had in stock for my bike (none :panic:)... but what they DID have was the full spectrum of '09 R6's and R6S's.... HOLY SHIT... :drool:

The new white/grey/red R6 is simply stunning... just a spectacular (little bitty) bike. Yamaha really went all out with cooridnating the metal elements on each bike with it's respective color scheme (I'm not sure if the white is the LE for '09, but it's the only one with black fork tubes -- the rest all have gold).

Then there's a copper & black (with teensy little flames) version that is just STUNNING. The paint looks very custom, and more than a little reminiscent of the copper/black GSXR1000 (in my opinion).

And of course the Raven is sex on wheels -- GOLD wheels, to be exact (the Raven edition of the R6S also got the gold wheels).

Really makes me anxious to see the '09 R1's now... :rockout:

The new R1 makes me want to puke. Fucking ugly as hell.

See, from what I've seen, I actually like it. Not as much as previous incarnations, but I think it's sexy as hell (though I know I'm one of few who does).

The white R6 needs black seats, the red seats are fucking hideous.

I don't like the headlights on the R1 and the tail section is like a wide body aircraft, but the R6 is still tits.

Wide body aircraft? Ever looked at teh tail on that GSXR of yours?

Honda and Yam are going toe to toe for ugliest liter bike this year.

no... they're toe to toe for 2nd... ZX10 is still the ugliest.

This pic is hilarious, it's like yam knows it's a fugly bike so they hide it in with the background so you can't see how enormously ugly the bike actually is.

One thing that's funny to me.. Honda did the black bike/gold wheels thing already with the '04 SuperHawk. I know.. I owned one. :lol:

I really don't consider Kawi in the standings anymore. They fail on so many levels except with 250s apparently.

Okay, I RODE the '08 ZX10R back in March at bike week. From the pilot's seat, it was perfectly attractive, and a very fun bike to ride. However, apparently I've never looked one square in the face.

Anyone remember that Seinfeld episode "Two Face," where he's dating a girl who's really pretty in some light, and then FUGLY as hell in other light? Yeah, I think the ZX10R suffers from that.... Holy fuck, what were they thinking?????????? :panic:

I hope they go back to some of their older designs... I'm not liking the new trends.

Except for the fact that the 10R won most every comparison outright, especially Sport Rider... who is NOT Kawasaki inclined.

Words cannot express how much I loathe what Kawaski has done to their bikes.

But I do believe it was someone on here that said its not what you ride, its how you ride it. No one is gonna see what you look like when a green blur goes by at 160mph. Looks are only for squids that go to bike night, and try to pick up easy chicks to bang..... Haha J/K...
