Like showing up to work everyday and expecting management to pull their heads out of their asses?

It's the russian roulette of exciting sex or extended hospital stay with them. But sometimes you just gotta pull the trigger and hope for the best.

take the job and be happy you can find something as opposed to complaining. others are not so fortunate. i also gave you the option of my place of work.

That's exactly what I'm doing during my severance if I need to.... something is better than nothing!

Hondahugger 12-01-2008 03:31 PM

I'm just thinking, I'm in the process of hiring an assistant and the applicants that have walked through my door have scared the shit out of me. One actually invited me to go partying with her to 'hook me up' with her brother!!!!! Needless to say, I didn't just throw her resume away, I shredded it! These people are making me miss Vanessa!!!! :panic:

People are unemployed and there are more losing their jobs every day, you just have to be the smart one out there. Take what you can get so you don't starve yourself but keep looking until you find something that fits you making the money that you need to make.

I'd hate to see you sell your bike Carlos, but you have to do what you have to do!

LOZ 12-01-2008 03:53 PM

heyheyhey! this is a monday morning rant thread, so let me bitch about my unemployed situation!

thanks mike for the call center offer, I told you I would consider it as a last resort.

Funny Ryder / dog story:

At Bill's old house, loading for the Gap trip a few years ago.

Two "hardcore" talking and acting Mondays are walking by. The one kid was probably 5'10 or so, the other a solid 6'2 and 260.

Bill's pug ran out toward the road after them, maybe to play, maybe to attack, who knows? Seriously the dog was 10 lbs, does it matter?

So Biggie (6'2 / 260) takes off running looking back at the pug while emitting a weird "Eeeeeaaaaarrrrruuuugh!" screech that can only be likened to a dying whale's last groans but slightly higher pitched.

The chase came to an end after about 25 feet, where the yard ended. Bigs managed to regain his composure. He even threw his arms back and his chest out at the dog as if the as "WUT! You don't even want to step!"

As we stand there in disbelief, little Ryder (probably 7 at the time) turns to Casey and asks:
"Daddy why was that boy scared of the dog? Is he allergic?" :D
