I saw one on display at the mall earlier this week! The first thing I noticed was the VW logo and though it was too big to be a VW.

I went over and checked it out and wow, it's a pretty impressive car based on looks alone. I don't know much else about it, but I think it's a pretty sharp looking car.

It has a Mercedes-esque feel to me.

RACER X 12-11-2008 08:32 AM

workmate (gti head) said his buddy just bought 1 under 30k w/ the turbod 4, wants to put bags on it.........lol

Ninjakel 12-11-2008 08:32 AM

I like it!

Rider 12-11-2008 08:34 AM

It does nothing for me. :idk:

Hondahugger 12-11-2008 08:39 AM

My very first car was a Wolkswagon, I LOVED IT! And that's a nice looking car. If I ever went back to cars, it would probably be a VW.

RACER X 12-11-2008 08:50 AM

'83 gti was my 2nd car, i like VW just not their reliability.

Avatard 12-11-2008 09:11 AM

Wheels are awesome. Little turbines.

Front's a little busy.

Base of A-pillar is clumsy (panel breaks).

FT BSTRD 12-11-2008 09:13 AM

The interior is gorgeous! Sat in one locally, and I would have to agree that it's on the potential short list for future cars.

BICH 12-11-2008 10:02 AM

WOW nice caro!!!!

Corey 12-11-2008 10:24 AM

Not bad, but it looks like every other generic quasi luxury car. Stick a honda badge in the grill in you've got the new Accord. Stick the three pointed star in there and you've got half the Mercedes line. Hell, there's even a little Beemer in the mix. Not a bad thing, mind you, and light years better than the Jetta and Passat, but safe and generic.

z06boy 12-11-2008 10:29 AM

Looks pretty decent for a 4 door. I haven't seen one in person yet.

Captain Morgan 12-11-2008 10:43 AM

Looks like it would fit a BMW line.

Chris S 12-11-2008 11:17 AM

It looks like it s/b much more expensive than it is. I hope it's successful!

Saw one at the MT car show the other weekend, all blacked out.

I would the hell out of that car. Not the most awe inspiring thing I've ever seen, but it still looks pretty decent. If I can ever afford a car and a truck, this'll be on the list.

Base model is interesting...2.0T with 6spd manual under 30G
After that the rush to 40G put's it up against stiff competition.

Otherwise...I hate cars with limited visibility.

DLIT 12-11-2008 07:42 PM

If the 2.0T is anything like my buddy's A4 with the 2.0T, then fuck that. His A4 is smaller and that engine is still slow as fuck!

Yes it is and it wil be built at the new factory here in chattanooga. Apparently according to a VW big wig we are getting a race track out of the deal. There are wilkomen VW signs all over town.

byron12 12-13-2008 04:16 AM

Oh yeah they filmed this commercial in my home town of ellijay ga. Ellijay is also the setting for squidbillies we have so much to be proud of...
