still holdin strong for valentino, eh?

i guess its not as bad as rootin for nikki (thats right he's got a girls name now) hayden. dude pulled through a couple years ago but im not so sure any more.

fpzx10 03-07-2008 04:41 PM

I'm not a big fan of Nicole Hayden. I have a friend that has met him and says he is a super nice guy. But after that A* ad, I could never pull for him.

I think Jorge may surprise some folks this year.

The real question is, did the other companies do their homework to put a product out there that can catch the Ducati. I'm not knocking Stoner, but that setup last year, made the season boring.

NONE_too_SOFT 03-07-2008 04:44 PM

no shit, a lot of it just depended on the track (the duc didnt have the advantage on the long and straight tracks) but god damn his machine must have been eating super gas.

fpzx10 03-07-2008 04:45 PM

Should have testing it for steroids

Mrs. Colleen 03-07-2008 06:40 PM

Go Hayden!!! :D

vabarber2 03-07-2008 07:06 PM

Hayden!

pickle.of.doom 03-07-2008 11:13 PM

I have a strange feeling that this will be the year of the newcomer. Either Lorenzo or Toseland.

NONE_too_SOFT 03-07-2008 11:14 PM

quite a bet.

considering the veterans, you've gotta be out of your mind though.

pickle.of.doom 03-07-2008 11:15 PM

wouldn't be the first time I was accused of that :D

NONE_too_SOFT 03-07-2008 11:16 PM

hah i can only imagine, pickle leg.

Mr Lefty 03-07-2008 11:26 PM

FUCKING HOPPER! dude's gonna finish 3rd in the standings... with at least 2 wins...

but he's gonna do it on a KAWI... which makes him the fuck'n man!

yeah well hopper finished 4th last year... so if he can give the boot to pedrosa this year I think he'll be on the podium more... unfortunately I don't see him getting by Rossi or Stoner much this year... but if he can... it'll be for the wins.

this is all of course if he can stay healthy...

pickle.of.doom 03-07-2008 11:39 PM

Practice from Qatar:

Pos. Rider Team Bike Time

exactly... little different with folks in your way... obviously... it'll be interesting to see how much of a difference it is for them stepping up from 250's to the 800's

I've heard the 250's carry more corner speed actually... anyone know if that's true?

pickle.of.doom 03-07-2008 11:53 PM

Yeah, I just have a feeling this is the year a Rookie takes it.

800's have more cornerspeed than the 990's did, but I'm not sure about the 250's

And Toseland is from WSBK

And final thought, I think Rossi will find switching to 'stones to be a HUGE mistake.

I don't think it'll be a huge mistake... but I don't think it'll be the diffrence he's expecting... (well it maybe much better for him but Mich will have gained ground)

who's the other rider that moved up from 250's?

pickle.of.doom 03-08-2008 12:27 AM

Dovizioso

Right, and the championship is more than barely out of reach :skep:

NONE_too_SOFT 03-10-2008 11:17 AM

yea, if he improves his lap times by 20 seconds he may have a spitting chance.

btw

WAY TO GO STONER! HERES TO DRINKING CHEAP AUSTRALIAN WINE FOR GOOD LUCK!

Mr Lefty 03-11-2008 06:01 PM

I dunno... Hayden looked strong pulling into his garage at the end of the race.... look for him to come out (of the garage) next race with athority!

Lorenzo really suprized me... I knew he'd be up there but I figured he'd be 4-10th in his first race... not high on the podium. :dthumb:

NONE_too_SOFT 03-11-2008 06:18 PM

hayden will win if starts riding like a champion instead of a little bisnatch.

I think his bike setup had a lot to do with it... I think he was even riding last years bike if I remember right...

Honda is putting all their stock in Pedrosa... Hayden winning was a fluke in their eyes... I honestly think Hayden should leave and go to Yamaha or Suzy

That's too bad because Pedrosa is an asshole piece of shit. Him and Biaggi should gayfuck themselves all the way down to hell together.

NONE_too_SOFT 03-11-2008 06:26 PM

i think its bullshit how race teams wont do their best to supply the riders with the VERY best gear in every situation. like honda doest have an extra mil to throw at repsol? or even the smaller teams.

michellin fuckin jews their riders, a lot the guys not expected to place under 5 dont even get the best tires.

one of the reasons bridgestone did so well in qatar.

yeah... it's all a money game... why spend that extra mil if it's nothing but a pit? giving an extra mil to Shinya Nakano isn't gonna put him on the podium I don't think. it may make him a constant mid pack runner... but that's not much of a return... ya know?

I agree though I'd love to see all the riders (especially those on the same fuck'n team) get the same quality gear!

honestly... I'm not holding Qatar with too much weight... it was the first round, the first ever night race... and several people were injured...

So true!! But they're stengy and trying to only throw it where they think they'll return it!

DLIT 03-12-2008 10:14 PM

Reality is preventing me from voting who I think will win this year. I just don't want to admit it 100% yet. I'm not ready.

NONE_too_SOFT 03-12-2008 10:20 PM

Lorenzo was on a Yammi, he didn't seem to have a problem with power..

two diffrent teams... and Toseland definatly was down on power in the straight... you could see everyone fly by him like they did Rossi last year

Tech 3 is a satellite team for the factory Yamaha team. They should have the same power as Lorenzo and Rossi. And if you remember correctly both tech 3 guys were starting on the front row. :dthumb: So power wise, I think there are up there, James just wore out his tires early trying to keep up with Lorenzo and Stoner.

that may be the case... just looked like he was loosing time in the straight not the corners :idk:

How can you have a hate on Stoner? He's like an Australian Opie - I keep expecting him to whistle through his teeth in every interview.

Biaggi and Pedrosa have earned it though... even Biaggi's bike hates him...

Mr Lefty 03-13-2008 04:23 PM

Biaggi is a douche

Rider 03-14-2008 07:40 AM

Biaggi is a turd burglar....

z06boy 03-14-2008 09:55 AM

I was hoping Rossi/Yamaha would step it up this year but Stoner is looking like the class of the field again already. Yea I know...it was just one race but still. :idk:

Lorenzo sure surprised me...in a good way. :rockwoot:

To be honest, I just don't like stoner's stupid face. He looks like a 15 year old douchebag.

And yeah... You have to laugh at Biaggi's misfortunes... karma.
