Looks good. :dthumb:

Looks good.
Question on the clutch cover slider. In the pic it looks like it is further in than the case cover? I'm guessing that it is just the angle of the pic??

Quick281 01-16-2009 12:19 AM

Awesome mods Neebs!

What made you go with Tech Spec over Stomp Grip? Looks to be more or less the same, but I haven't seen Tech Spec too often.

Gas Man 01-16-2009 12:33 AM

Nice mods Nee. Got to love easy bolt ons!

Thanks!

I think it's about even with the case cover.

Chris had the stomp grips on his 900RR and he wasn't thrilled with them. When he got HIS R1 he went with the Tech Spec grips instead. I just liked that they're similar in texture to the bodywork just below the tank, so they "blend" well.

marko138 01-16-2009 09:08 AM

Solid. But why the gold adjusters on the levers?

ontwo 01-16-2009 09:48 AM

Very, very nice. Best lookin tail cleanup I've seen

The tops of the fork bolts are gold, and the bolts on the brake calipers are gold, so I went with that as my accent color.

We have this argument Alot within my Group of riding friends...But you went with Long Pazzo's not Shortys...and basically the argument is whats the point if basically the factory levers are longs as well...And I really like the feel of shortys...To each there won, Bike looks sharp...If the clutch slider is about even...then whats the point?

I do like the gold adjuster on the Pazzo's though.

1.) They LOOK better than the bright silver stock levers
2.) They're about 3/4" of an inch shorter, plus they're scored, so if I were to drop the bike, and the lever snapped, it'd still be rideable (you might laugh, but I've known it to happen with stock levers, leaving the bike unrideable :panic:)
3.) They actually FEEL a little different than the stock. I like the shape of them.
4.) Did I mention they look HELLA better than stock?

It might be a bit longer, in truth, I don't remember since it's been too cold to ride all week. My only concern was it would be 'in the way,' and since it's not, it's like frame sliders to me -- they're there for protection and I don't pay any attention to them.

Sixxxxer 01-16-2009 10:24 AM

I see the Score, And I dropped my first bike and snapped off the Clutch lever so I know what you mean...

And I guess Im used to my bike, I dont have Silver levers mine are black from the factory...So it would look essentially the same.

I'm not knocking them I think they look great.

Ahhh, see if I had black levers stock, I might not have spent the $$$ to replace them, but the stock ones stuck out like a sore thumb, so they HAD to go. First thing ANYONE would say when they looked at my bike "Great bike, love the color... gotta replace those levers."

Sixxxxer 01-16-2009 11:09 AM

Lol...My whole bike came with Black accents, The rear sets, the passenger pegs, the kickstand, levers...all black.

Silver just looks Out of place.

z06boy 01-16-2009 12:43 PM

Another R1 lookin' good. :dthumb:

Actually it does stick out just a hair further then the case cover. It's to protect the clutch linkage, not the case cover.

Don't forget how easy the Pazzo's are to adjust. That in itself is a major plus.

Got it, makes sense I guess.

My stockers were easy to adjust, and they were black... but I like the shorty's better, and the stockers didn't feel right at all!
(and now the blue *almost* matches my frame)
So yeah, I hear ya.

Yeah my Buddie did that with his R6, Then I think Kawasaki realized its easier to just have the bike come from the factory with all Black Hardware...Even my Screws are black on my fairings.

It's what sold me on the bike...

itgirl 01-17-2009 05:18 PM

bike looks great, nee! :dthumb:

Cutty72 01-17-2009 05:20 PM
