neebelung 03-11-2008 02:00 PM

Not yet, but they said on the news last night they expect it to hit a new record today. It's already jumped $0.09 in the last two weeks.

marko138 03-11-2008 02:01 PM

Didn't notice the prices when I was out today. I paid $3.15 on Sunday.

dReWpY 03-11-2008 02:04 PM

pickle.of.doom 03-11-2008 02:16 PM

Yep, I don't save a whole lot on the Superhawk though... those big ol' 48mm Keihins suck a LOT of juice :D

ZukLady 03-11-2008 02:43 PM

It's still better than I get in either of my cages.

Mrs. Colleen 03-11-2008 05:08 PM

I only fill up about every three weeks so it is hard for me to keep track of where the prices are. The one closest to my house is already over $4/gal for premium, although they are usually about $.15 more/gal than everyone else. :td:

I drive a Civic and a motorcycle...and my work is only 8 miles from home. I have nothing to complain about. :idk: :dthumb:

ceo012384 03-11-2008 05:35 PM

Yup, oil went up to 109 bucks a barrel today. Insane shit.

dReWpY 03-11-2008 06:09 PM

just fucking peachy, i did find a station that hadn't jacked the prices i paid 3.39 for 93... i cant beleive i think that is a good price

The focus isn't a terrible car necessarily, especially if you got it for cheap. American car resale is so shitty you can get some good deals. But if you want an economy car, you gotta go far east.

Understood! You cant beat that, but what you saved in the price was a known loss on resale! as well as a loss at the fuel pump!

dscort 03-11-2008 07:15 PM

not when ya know every nut and bolt on a car and find parts laying around the shop, they get fixed pretty easily. not really familiar w/ hondas

They've been talkin' about gas going over $4/gallon for the past three years now... I wonder if this will be the year... :idk:

We still get our gas cheaper than anywhere else in the world...

bombadillo 03-11-2008 11:52 PM

Shoot, mine is up to 3.79 already here in Eureka, CA!!! Diesel is 4.19 and its been over 3.50 for well over 2 months now. People always talk about S.F. being the highest in the nation, but drive 5 hours north and tell me again.

Driving a S2000 is as close to riding a bike on 4 wheels as you can get.

no power on the bottom, but just SCREAMS in the upper RPMS

Ever been in an STi? When you hit 4K you get blasted back into the seat..
My buddy at work has one, he says its faster than the S2000 he used to have.

Yeah, thats why i love my car so much, the powerband reminds me exactly of a bike.. although I must say the car has some decent pull above 4k.. Once you hit vtec at 6k.. Thats when you really hear the engine sing.

I don't.. For some reason the constant pull of an engine with a lot of torque.. feels fast, but not as much fun as the engine with peaky power.. Something about it just makes it more fun to drive.. :idk:

Neg, 9k was the highest.. for the 00-03 yrs.. in 04 they increased the displacement to 2.2 and lowered the redline to 8k..

There is a place up the street from me that is silly amounts of expensive...reg is up to $3.99/gal.

If they lowered their prices I would probably go there almost every time I needed gas...instead I use the one that is on my way home from work which is usually around $.50 less/gal.

Stock ? Humm...that surprises me...awesome little car but torque is almost nonexistant imho.

When I almost bought one...the joke going around was that "Torque was on national backorder". It's the same way with my R6. Now you wind it up and it comes alive...same with my experience with athe S2000.

Just to be clear...I do like the car...looks good...handles well and it will move...you just have to get into the upper rpm range.

I doubt it oil production is peaking now and in the first hundred years of major oil consuption we were the only ones that used alot of it now the entire world demands oil. Oil prices will continue to rise just be glad we are motorcyclists because we are way ahead of everybody else in america.

it would drop in price due to the laws of supply and demand, why you use less the price will decrease
