Corey 01-21-2009 09:25 PM

Not quite digging the upturned tail or the rain catcher pipes.

Edit.. Does that even run? The radiator hoses are non-existent, and some other shit looks cut off and not plugged or repaired. Show only?

Ninjakel 01-21-2009 09:30 PM

Meh. There are a ton more better looking fighters out there.

Not sure if it runs in that picture, but I know the guy's done more to it and it's a running rig.

And I HATE the upturned goofiness. However, the rest of the rig is pretty much what I'm thinkin' for mine... no upturned goofiness and a 'less is more' headlight option.

There certainly are... then again, it depends on what you're going for... TLR street fighters haven't exactly been easy for me to track down... Plus, I'm a big fan of the simplistic... No fancy paint, no detailed touches... sorta looks like it's broken. That's me.

Ninjakel 01-21-2009 09:43 PM

Lose the upturn shit and the rest of it works. I'm with you on a minimalist headlight.

BMW Lo Rider, if they build it, might be the sickest fucking production bike in the world.

I dig it, even the pipes.

I'll have to do some searching, I have seen some badass TL fighters.

I agree with the minimalistic look. The Euro stuff is not usually my taste.

I'd like it a lot more if it was black... I kinda dig the black frame, but as much as I hate to admit it, all that black might be too much... all gloss black offers no depth... paint that frame a graphite color and rock the shit out of the all black... Oh, and that front fender has to go... It's fuckin' ginormous...

Red frame looks money. Drewpy was tellin' me that they make a kit for the RC that mounts the radiator in front of the forks... That would be coolio...

Yeah, the profile just doesn't flow that well... I think he could have fabbed something a little more low-pro that came down over the engine in the front a bit... covering that frame gap.

It's a TLS.

The forks are different in the different pics. If you look closely you can see the can was changed too.

The bike was / is in a constant state of evolution.

There is a whole thread on his build here: http://www.customfighters.com/forums...ead.php?t=3881

Edit: apparently you noticed the exhaust.

OreoGaborio 01-22-2009 10:53 AM

:loser: how did I not know that? It's painfully obvious now that you tell me. I forgot what the TLS frame looked like & the direct mounted shock (or whatever you wanna call it) threw me off, I was thinking the TLS got the rotary like the TLR (did it?), but even if it did it coulda been switched out for a standard.

EDIT: PS, I like my "factory fighter", even IF some don't consider it a true fighter :D

I have no clue, I will have to look. I got a fair amount from what I remember. I think I still have the full fairing R&G sliders, watsen design signals, scratched lowers without hardware, some other body pieces that are scratched, and some other various bits.

Good luck streetfightering the TLR, that's going to be a sick bike when you get it done. When you get into modifying it take a look at Penske, the only weakness of the TLR is the rotary rear shock, Penske makes a great shock relocating kit for the bike that makes them handle like a dream.

Bitubo makes a good one from what I understand too... The problem is... $$$. That shit's EXPENSIVE.

Yeah, it's fucking pricey. If you can find a used one it would help. Honestly unless you're planning on doing a lot of trackdays it's probably not worth it. On the street I know I couldn't tell the difference.
