|
so when they supposed to be delivered?
|
What brand did you get?
|
Scheduled to be here tomorrow.
I got the e-racings. I've read that they are adequate. Plus they are cheap. I bought my rattlecans yesterday. Can't wait to get back to the track. Really looking forward to being on the 750 as opposed to the liter. |

sadly, that truck stopped in ND... and now they are in my garage, being held for ransom. |

heard good things
|
me too and cheap :dthumb:
Gonna rattle can them. It's gonna be obnoxious |
Yeah, they're like $350, right? I got Attack. So does a buddy of mine who said they're the same quality at half the price, but they don't have indents to ease the hole lining up process. Attack's are on point with that shit. I just drilled the holes where the indents were and they lined up perfect.

Very nice. Good luck fitting them, get someone who has done it before to help you. Take your time and sand when you need to.
Use zipties to hold things in place. |

RAttlecan bright yellow.

pics or :adopt:

I changed my mind on the flourescent. It took 1.5 cans for the fender, and it still looked like shit.
Going with a bright solar yellow. Well, kinda like the TWFix skin |

I like the hell out of the color. But I think that paint is meant for more arts and craft type stuff, yard sale signs, etc. It just wouldn't coat for shit.

I just hope I can get this damn zuk back together after the track. The Kawi wasn't nearly this tedious. I'm thinking of just leaving the track plastics on, wiring a light to the front, putting the tail section back on, and off I go |

I will say that, so far, it is looking like the e-racings will go on this thing perfect. KNock on wood

Did some work during lunch. Got the upper on. This is going too well.
Side view. There is a spacer behind the fairing. Bolted right up http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/100_1778.jpg Ram Air held with the original plastic rivets http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/100_1783.jpg Front is held with the bracket that hold the windscreen and mirrors. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/100_1781.jpg Spent $2 on the screws that go where the mirror holes are http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...0/100_1780.jpg |

I hope to be doing a trackday once a month or so. I can't see doing this every month :idk: |
I knew it was going too well.
There is no way the lowers in this set were meant for my bike. I think I cut about a pound of fiberglass off that damn thing so that it would go on. Still not complaining. You get what you pay for. Also, the DZUS clips would not go on the fiberglass, so I stole the clips off the street fairings and used the allen bolts. I got it together. I'll post a pic after lunch. Now it is in pieces in the basement ready for paint. |
Damn that sucks, but atleast you got it to work.
I bought a set a while back that wouldn't even fit, had to charge it back. It was such crap, that the seller didn't even want it back after I charged it back. He prob figured it wasn't worth the amount he would have to spend to ship it back to him. |
So the e-racings website says that most of their bodyworks will not be available due to "changes"! WTF....You guys pimp their product now you can't get them.

The cheaper brands of race-body work most all ways never fit properly out of the box , and require some cutting/trimming to fit (some times a lot of cutting and trimming!).
I'm not saying that all of the cheaper brands are junk, just that they require more patients when installing. I have used several different "cheaper" brands of body work on my race bikes and the fitment problem that you are having with the lower sounds normal. The best fitting bodywork that I have ever installed has been Shark Skinz. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I recently helped install race body work from the same manufacturer on two different bikes of the same make, model, and year. One set of body work went on with very little cutting or trouble, while the second set required a lot of cutting on the lower to get it to fit properly.:idk: Here is a pic of my current race bike. It has a set of Hot Bodies body work on it. It had a "rattle" can paint job on it,until a friend of mine painted it for me. Some have affectionately named her "The Electric Banana" ! http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...1/DSC_0035.jpg |
Here is a pic of my race bike with the old "rattle" can paint and some cheap fog lights mounted on the upper fairing so I could ride it on the street.
