northeast rally

since the twfix rally south is happening soon, i was thinking about the northeast one that cf used to have at gettysburg. would anyone be interested in it?

Gas Man 05-07-2009 01:11 AM

I got some time off the last week of sep. I'm looking to ride somewhere.

Particle Man 05-07-2009 06:45 AM

maybe this one I could actually attend....

marko138 05-07-2009 07:57 AM

I can be in Gettysburg in 45 minutes. And if Gas Man is there you know I'm coming.

Angee 05-07-2009 11:57 AM

We have a rally in Towanda, PA (normally, but the gas people took all the hotels through next year) the weekend after Labor Day. I'm not sure if we're going or not, as we haven't settled on a new location. That could be a possibility...

Dragonpaco 05-07-2009 12:48 PM

i like this whole last week in september thing. lets settle on a date and then figure out the location

marko138 05-07-2009 03:18 PM

I like it too.

I think it would be cool. Not hot, decent weather, and a good bang before the end of the season.

Gas Man 05-07-2009 05:19 PM

My place to Gettysburg... 7.5hrs/440miles

Bluestreak 05-07-2009 07:24 PM

I'm in for Gettysburg. Always had fun at those rallys.

One of the guys on CF has family that owns the hotel we always stay at. Nice big parking lot that is easily taken over and nice cheap room rates.

It's possible the Cycleforums folks may actually do this rally again on Labor Day weekend.

Cutty72 05-07-2009 08:09 PM

I'll be in either IN or Germany on my way to Kosovo. Sorry kiddies, not this year.

Gas Man 05-07-2009 11:13 PM

Marko... is there anything going on that last week of Sep??? Also cheap first floor parking lot level motels?

JoJoYZF 05-07-2009 11:20 PM

Id be in too. Actually I could probably just meet up with gas man as hes comin through ohio and ride out with him and whoever else.

That week doesn't strike me with anything going on. I'm not terribly familiar with the hotels in Gburg...but we can certainly figure that out easy enough.

Gas Man 05-08-2009 12:29 PM

Any roads in the area?

Sixxxxer 05-09-2009 01:14 AM

Fuck it Id try and make two rallys...I could meet the whole board almost that way!!

That would be cool Kim, thanks! I would need to keep the money tight being I have a mexico trip at the end of oct that I need to spend money on.

I highly doubt Uma would come, and even if she did I can tell you she wouldnt ride out on her bike.

You're wrong. I only say that when you are gonna be around.

Mr Lefty 05-11-2009 09:38 AM

what are you gonna do when I go to PA... you're gonna have to ride more than 15min from you're house then...

Ya'll missed a good rally... fuck'n weather held off enough for us to get at least a half a day of riding in every day. OUT FUCKING STANDING.

if ya'll put it near Indy time frame... I may be able to take extra time off and hit up both... (barring any Hurricaines as I'll be called back to work)

Rider 05-11-2009 09:52 AM

PA would still be a long ride. How about something just a little more south and a little more west? Gas loan me the nightster.. :lol

actually, they really do. 555 is pretty intense.

Mr Lefty 05-11-2009 01:37 PM

What about WV? think it'd be close enough for the NY and MI folks to join in... the PA folks would have 0 excuses... and as long as we plan for like late June... we should have good weather. :idk:

eta... I was talking about 2010...

Dragonpaco 05-11-2009 01:38 PM

i'm down for WV but late june is no good. i got a senior exam at the station and 2 weeks of consistent drunkeness during my b-day

Then i'm out. Can't do it till the week after towards Oct 1st. Hell couldn't even leave till any earlier than Sep 22nd but then would have to be back on Sep 25th. I am out for Sep26/27th cause I'll be out of town with the wife.

Bear in mind that me and Ebbs probably won't be there. That's the whole reason this one got started on CF, because I got turned back from their Laber Day weekend ride. But I'll try, anyway. Hell, I have family close, maybe I could dump the kid and bring my wife!

Zeos said he wanted to a while back, just that it woul dbe planned on a different or a dummy site for all the regulars. karens best freind is getting married that weekend and I told her too bad we cant go to the wedding. that didnt go over too well. Even still I would still make it there in some shape or form to hang out.

If they do the other one in october I would be down to go as well. its only 2 and a half hrs from my house.

What kind of ninja? I can't touch the ground on most bikes so unless you plan on standing there when i take off and catching me when i stop, that may not be a good idea!

Dragonpaco 05-13-2009 08:58 PM

you'll have to fight rogue to see who gets to use the ninja and who has to ride the marauder but both are pretty low to the ground. and i can always lower them beforehand

I just mapquested it and got about 5 hours and just under 300 miles. Thats reasonable especially if I meet up with Gas or nts or can convince race doll and her husband to come out for the ride.
