So who's riding this weekend?

Forecast here looks spectacular.... anyone got any great routes planned this weekend?

Trip 03-28-2008 01:47 PM

I am still without rearsets. I may just go buy some replacement pegs and a shift lever and get back out there.

Rider 03-28-2008 01:47 PM

Not me still too cold... :panic:

t-homo 03-28-2008 01:58 PM

Today is the nicest day I'm going to have. My bike is over at my friends house where I parked it when the thunderstorm warnings hit last night. Might go over there, break in, and bust it out though.

NeonspeedRT 03-28-2008 02:07 PM

I'll be riding all weekend. Of course it's on a closed range and i'll be on GZ250's doing demo's for students. But thats kinda riding :idk:

Mrs. Colleen 03-28-2008 02:25 PM

Rode to work this morning and may go riding tomorrow. Sunday I am heading to the track with the hubby and some friends...he is riding not me! :beers:

No, no, it's not; but still better than what I will be doing. We both will be doing something that benefits bikers though.

DLIT 03-28-2008 02:27 PM

Since it's already up to 80 in Vegas, we'll be neighborhood/parking lot sluts.

fpzx10 03-28-2008 02:36 PM

Not me

marko138 03-28-2008 02:41 PM

Not me. She's still in hibernation for several more weeks.

DIMford 03-28-2008 03:20 PM

I wish... Babies still in pieces. If I am lucky I will have the bike done by next weekend.

dReWpY 03-28-2008 03:52 PM

nope, weather sucks and im broke... baby needs a new pair of shoes...

Cutty72 03-28-2008 04:39 PM

Supposed to be cold and snowy here... so probalby not.

z06boy 03-28-2008 04:51 PM

I'm sure we'll take a ride tomorrow. If nothing else we'll take some back roads over to a town not too far away and check out an "Open House" a dealership is having with free dyno's...free food...demo rides...a bike wash and the "RideNow Girls"...whatever that is. At least it's bike related. :idk:

They sell Yamaha...Honda...Kawasaki...Suzuki and Victory.

Googled "RideNow Girls" and got this...

Cutty72 03-28-2008 04:52 PM

That's a nice buell

itgirl 03-28-2008 07:12 PM

every day is 1 day closer to riding season for me. at least i got the bike show this weekend to occupy my mind.

PhiSig1071 03-28-2008 07:13 PM

It depends on how I feel, but the motard is in the garage taunting me. Even if I still feel like crap I'll probably put a few miles on her this weekend.

Dave 03-28-2008 08:14 PM

i have tomorrow off so hopefully if it doesnt rain. im looking forward to doing some night cruising now that my new control box for the eight bajillion led's my bike came with is installed.

Phenix_Rider 03-28-2008 08:16 PM

Supposed to be decent here. If the clowns have my tires in yet, I'll spend the morning getting them on. Otherwise, I plan to ride the hell out of my already worn out tires.

JoJoYZF 03-28-2008 10:27 PM

Bike is still stored away until I can put on a helmet without fear of fucking up my eye socket.

t-homo 03-28-2008 10:58 PM

Rode probably 150 miles today just in short spurts of twisties. Hope to put on at least 50-100 more tomorrow.

WARputer 03-28-2008 11:06 PM

I should end up with 324 miles total for the weekend....3 roundtrips to WORK .:sign:

t-homo 03-28-2008 11:19 PM

More good news is that I talked to my neighbor who had a 97 gsxr 750 that sold it to one of his friends. I guess the friend is scared of the bike and doesn't really want it that much. So while I was talking to him, he called his friend who has it now, and said that I would be interested in trading my bike and some cash for his. Hopefully I will be able to get the 750 for my 02 buell blast and about 1000 bucks. I would be ecstatic.

500. single cylinder. Started bike hardcore style. Put about 2K miles on it since I got it the middle of last summer. I'll definitely have to take it slow if i get the 750.

Gas Man 03-29-2008 12:58 AM

I'm 210 pounds but only 5'8". I was 195 until I got to college last august. Next week me and another guy are going to go on a no sweets/soda/anything sugar diet, start running and working out, and quit smoking to try to lose our beer guts. Oh yeah, we are going to stop drinking in the middle of the week too. That's mostly for grades though.

Yeah but its what we need to do, so we are going to do it. And it will help a lot that we are doing it together to keep each other in check.

No Worries 03-30-2008 12:22 PM

Seventy-two degrees yesterday. I took the bike out twice. Once to go to the store and again for some mountain carving. There were bikes everywhere.

Cruisers outnumbered sportbikes by 2:1. Most riders on sportbikes wore helmets, but hardly any of the cruiser riders had them on. Have they never went down or expect to go down? Actually, most of the cruisers were parked in downtown Golden, at the base of Lookout Mountain.

It snowed last night and they expect a rain/snow mix today. But I got 80 miles in yesterday.

Rider 03-31-2008 08:46 AM

Today is warm enough but its fucking raining.... I leave for vacation tomorrow so hopefully it will be warm enough when I get back.

z06boy 03-31-2008 10:51 AM

Forecast changed and it was in the 40's and raining...nope...didn't get to ride. :panic:

Took the Z06 out for a quick blast between showers...500rwhp is still pretty fun...for a cage. :rockout:

marko138 04-01-2008 03:40 PM

It is so nice right now in Harrisburg. Mid 60's and blue skies. It rained this morning...but it's clear now. Threw the stick with the dog. But no riding.

Cutty72 04-01-2008 04:52 PM

This weekend is lookin like there's a chance.

WARputer 04-01-2008 05:18 PM

Friggin' rain chance all week !!!

Gas Man 04-02-2008 03:41 AM

I put about 35 shake down miles on the Phoenix Chop... was F'in awesome!!!

marko138 04-02-2008 09:34 AM

I really want to get out. Its almost time.

Phenix_Rider 04-02-2008 09:40 AM

I rode to work this morning! And yesterday:dthumb:

It was insanely windy yesterday on the way home. So bad that I was afraid to park my bike and walk away for fear of it being blown over.

OneSickPsycho 04-02-2008 10:16 AM

I won't be riding this weekend... bike's still in peices... I do have a chance for a shakedown next weekend though...

Cutty72 04-02-2008 12:57 PM

We may see 50s this week!!!

Sadly, lows still in the low 20's, so it's a COLD morning ride.

ceo012384 04-08-2008 02:38 AM

I rode a bit. Brought Kat with me 2up.

Wasn't the best weather, but I was fine. She was quite cold, on the other hand... a little out of her natural environment

Cutty72 04-08-2008 01:35 PM

There is a very good chance, provided we don't get more snow.

t-homo 04-08-2008 01:41 PM

I took a short trip on Sunday, 40 miles or so. Has been raining all day today or I was going to go for a ride. And I need a new rear for my bike to pass inspection... Ordered that yesterday morning.

JoJoYZF 04-08-2008 01:42 PM

Got out for the first time since laast season yesterday for about 15 or 20 minutes. Hopefully ridign to work tonight and if the weather holds out Ill be riding this weekend.
