JoJoYZF 06-20-2009 12:58 PM

derf 06-20-2009 01:00 PM

Supposed to rain til Monday here, then Tuesday there is a chance of rain then rain through the rest of the 10 day forcast

ericr 06-20-2009 01:43 PM

I rode to work this morning. It was 78F with a dewpoint of 73F at 8:30. Riding home won't be much fun, supposed to be 96-98F today. We've got a hot spell going now.

Mrs. Colleen 06-20-2009 02:39 PM

I am heading to a friend's daughter's graduation party in a few so I wont be riding today...and maybe not tomorrow either. But I have started riding to work more. Finally feeling really comfortable. :beers:

'73 H1 Triple 06-20-2009 03:22 PM

Good to hear you're getting comfortable on the bike

Maybe, just maybe it finally stop raining by monday and I can ride to work. I did sneak in a quick 25 mile ride yesterday but the weather forecast doesn't look good for the rest of the weekend.

JoJoYZF 06-20-2009 05:22 PM

I went out for about 50 or 60 miles this afternoon between rain storms. Its just nice to have the bike back.

Amber Lamps 06-20-2009 05:58 PM

I rode for about 50 miles today but the heat was kicking my ass! It's pushing 100 degrees around here with extremely high humidity!:panic:

Its going to be warm and sticky this week here too, not 95 plus yet but mid 80's. Its been in th emid 60's with a lotof rain recently so these warmer temps will siuck with the humidity.

I washed the bikes, went for short spin, realized how hot it was and went back into the house.

Mr Lefty 06-20-2009 10:07 PM

Can't do any riding till Monday... cause I'm on call... and can't ever hear the damn phone ring... and the vibrate function isn't worth a damn.

but it's all good...

not like there's a lot of intresting places to ride in MS...

racedoll 06-20-2009 10:19 PM

Didn't get out today, too much going on. Hopefully tomorrow.

MissHell 06-20-2009 10:23 PM

Decided to ride while running my errands today. I didn't ride all week cause the weather was rainy and tomorrow I can't ride.

Nice to get out, even just for a short ride. :D

tached1000rr 06-20-2009 10:26 PM

I rode to work everyday this week and got rained on coming home each day, so not riding today was no biggie for me although it would have been a more enjoyable ride on my favorite local roads.

Ha that was me last summer! I was working about 60 miles from home and gas was $4 a gallon so I'm going to ride my bike. Well being new to the area, I didn't realize that a 30% chance of rain is basically a guarantee in this part of the country!!! Man I got soaked at least twice of week!!! I'm sure you know how it rains down this way, like the bottom fell out or someone flushed the toilet!!!

True but it's still better than the "doom and gloom" predictions. According to them we should be at about $5+ a gallon right now.

Good to see Im not the only one who thinks the vibrate on the storm sucks. I cant even feel it if Ive got the phone in a holster on my belt at work unless Im standing still.

Mr Lefty 06-21-2009 02:57 PM

yeah the vibe on the storm sucks... but even wors on my on call phone.

JoJoYZF 06-21-2009 06:01 PM

Damn thats saying something. Whats your on call phone?

t-homo 06-21-2009 06:20 PM

I rode about 400 miles this weekend. No straight shit either.

You might be the sleeper in this mileage contest

t-homo 06-21-2009 06:50 PM

I'm at just over 3000 so far. Hopefully I will have another iron butt or two and money to keep riding to jump ahead. I doubt it for this year though. Once I actually graduate and start making real money, I'll have a much better chance.

some ancient flip phone...doesn't even have a camera... that's how old this bitch is.

ringer is loud as all hell though...so that's good

CrazyKell 06-21-2009 08:22 PM

I rode for about 3 tanks of gas today. I don't know how many km's I went but I do know my bike hit 25,000 K today! :rockout:

racedoll 06-21-2009 08:28 PM

Thought I might get out today and nope. I thought I might at least get to ride my bike from the barn to the garage. Nope. Hubby did it, after telling me to do it myself.

I guess I won't be winning the mileage contest seeing how I only have 157 miles on for the entire year so far. LOL.

I'm planning to ride to work tomorrow, thus the reason the bike got moved to the garage.

Amber Lamps 06-21-2009 08:59 PM

I put in about 150 today and it was out fucking standing!!! Low traffic, zero police, no animals. Just me and the bike! God it felt good!:rockwoot:

Ninjakel 06-21-2009 09:00 PM

hell, I haven't ridden my bike since I got back from NC

Its south florida and summertime. Fuck that heat. It was like 99 degrees today.

Badass. My bike is just under 800 miles away from 50,000.

Mine is still running strong as hell.

I think there were more people riding through winter than are riding now.
