What the crap hit me!

Friday night I was riding home and felt something hit me in the leg. I thought it was a rock or a bug but then I happened to look down and just above my right knee (about the size of a quarter) were MILLIONS of teeny tiny red spiders.

Freaked me right the EFF out. Pulled over and did the heebie jeebie dance until I got all those suckers off me.

What the hell hit me?!

AquaPython 06-22-2009 09:48 AM

by process of deduction, i deduce that it was millions of teeny tiny red spiders.

CrazyKell 06-22-2009 09:51 AM

Thanks smartass. :lmao:

I mean....was it a big sac of spiders.....how was it just flying in the air.....:panic:

I don't know, but I hit a fucking armadillo friday night. We were going for a night ride, at about 3 AM. I saw several armadillos and raccoons dead on the side of the road, so I assumed this one was the same. Next thing I know, he is suicide scampering at me. Caught me off guard and didn't have time to react. I guess he bounced off of my front tire and hit my right footpeg. The bolt that holds my footpeg to the rear set was snapped, but that was the only damage.

One of my co-workers at the hospital in Philly had an imbeded bot fly larva in the back of his neck after coming back from Belize. He kept the damn thing in a bottle of formaldahyde on his desk. Yuck!!:tremble:

EpyonXero 06-22-2009 05:34 PM

I heard a story on the radio about a guy who had one in his scalp and decided to let it grow and come out on its own. Nasty.

In college my room mate found a tame white rabbit running around in the woods in Hampton, VA. She brought him home and named him Hampton. Hampton had a fly larvae coming out of his neck. It was as big around as my pinkie finger. :tremble:

We didn't know what it was, so called around until we could find a vet we could afford. He pulled the thing out with tweezers and proceeds to 'pet' it while we were squiriming around with the heebie geebies!! That left Hampton with a HUGE hole in his neck we had to put salve in. It was SO NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the other night I almost stepped on the largest wolf spider I've ever seen as i was going out into the garage barefooted. It was easily 3"+ long on the legspan, had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a small tarantula as big as it was. I'm just glad it moved before I stepped off the last step onto the floor :D I did grab a shoe and smack that thing though, don't want him raiding the pantry at night. I'm also glad that one wasn't carrying babies!

One of the developers got an error message telling him a section couldn't appear more than once (blah blah blah).... he sends it to one of the other managers asking "What's this mean?" That manager IM's it to me, laughing... and all I could think was "By process of deduction......"

I think he actually DID respond to the guy and say "millions of teeny tiny red spiders." :lol

Camping at Deal's Gap at the end of the cross country trip drewpy and I went on a couple of years back, I woke up to one of those about 3" way from my head... it took every ounce of my being to stop myself from burning through a 15-round mag of hollow point .40 making sure it didn't touch me.

As covered up as I am whenever I ride, somehow a bee of some sort hit me in the sliver of the neck that wasn't covered by the jacket's mandarin color and the helmet's base, crawled down to my chest and stung the living shit out of me. I was slapping and punching my torso trying to kill that fucker while keeping control of the motorcycle. By the time I stopped and pulled over, my chest was throbbing with pain, I opened up the jacket and shirt to find a big welt and smeared bee parts.

And then there was this one time when a bird impacted my right shoulder and nearly threw me off the damn bike.

Almost makes me want to turn into a cager.
